"Copper Hammer, get up!"
After putting away the Spring of Life, Nalant extended a hand to the envious-looking Copper Hammer and pulled him up from the ground.
"Baron Nalant, thank you for your help just now. Otherwise, it wouldn't just have been me, Copper Hammer, getting ambushed by the Bone Dragon—many of my fellow warriors would have been lost as well!"
Once on his feet, Copper Hammer regained his composure and thanked Nalant earnestly.
Luckily, Nalant's support had arrived quickly enough and slain the Bone Dragon again in the shortest possible time.
Had they delayed even a little longer, the other Dwarves would likely have suffered too.
"Copper Hammer, I told you—we're comrades. We've fought and killed together on the battlefield. There's no need to thank me!"
Nalant patted Copper Hammer on the shoulder.
"Haha, that's right! Baron Nalant is a comrade of us Dwarves!" Copper Hammer laughed heartily, his great beard trembling without pause.
The female elf beside them smiled faintly at the sight, the eyes visible beneath her features curving into crescents as well.
"Nalant, now that these Dark Creatures have been slain, should we return to the small city?"
"That's right. There are enormous quantities of supplies in the small city. We must return and resume our watch."
"Also, regarding that bastard Gus, once we return, we must immediately report this matter to the leaders and kings of every race!"
"Baron Nalant is right. Gus and those goblins are truly shameless and vicious. Not only did they flee in the face of battle, they even used boulders to block our retreat. For something so vile, we must make Gus and the goblins receive the punishment they deserve!" Copper Hammer immediately nodded in agreement.
Now that the crisis had been resolved, they finally had the time to curse
