"Nalant!"
Just then, a familiar call reached Nalant's ears.
"Hm? Is that Black Dragon?"
Nalant immediately recognized the low call as Black Dragon's. Surprised and delighted, he turned to look.
Sure enough, Black Dragon had opened its eyes again.
Though it was still lying sprawled on the ground, the look in its eyes showed that its spirits were far better than before.
"Lord Black Dragon, you're finally awake. Are you feeling any better?"
Nalant immediately asked with concern.
"Thank you for saving me, Nalant. I already feel much better now!"
"Though my injuries have not fully healed, my life is no longer in danger!"
Black Dragon stretched its wings slightly as it replied.
"That's wonderful, Lord Black Dragon. Rest and recover peacefully. The Dragon Knights from Aio Continent have already defeated the Dark Lord."
"Once they finish dealing with those mid- and high-tier Magic Beasts among the Dark Creatures, we'll win this defensive battle."
Hearing Black Dragon's words, Nalant finally set his mind at ease.
Black Dragon had good character, and they had fought side by side. Its survival was naturally something to be glad about.
"Nalant, you truly needn't have done this. You may not realize just how precious that Life Spring Water is."
"If it were sold to your human nobles, a single bottle would probably be worth hundreds of thousands of gold coins!"
Black Dragon looked at Nalant with an unusual expression in its eyes.
Nalant thought Black Dragon had good character.
Yet didn't Black Dragon also find this human, Nalant, extraordinary?
In its past impressions, human nobles had all been selfish, greedy, and cunning.
There might occasionally be one or two knights who were fairly upright, but most were merely stubborn by nature.
Yet Nalant gave it an entirely different impression—he was neither stubborn nor dull-witted.
