"As you know, Miss Dadeier is..."
Prince explained in a humble tone.
The youngest sister, Milinda, picked up a cookie, took a bite, pouted, giggled, and interrupted:
"Is she the second Taylor Count Family?"
She crunched on her snacks, a naive smile on her face.
"If Prince were to marry Dadeier, Father would be very happy, wouldn't he? After all, Father has always wanted to strengthen ties with the Taylor family..."
Prince was taken aback.
Fortunately, the dim Lighting in the private room concealed his flushed face, preventing him from making a fool of himself.
"Hmm." Prince said in a deep voice. "Brother just wants to get along well with Miss Dadeier, so please don't cause any trouble."
"Okay, okay," Milinda replied dismissively.
Not long after.
There was another knock on the door.
Knock knock.
"It must be them," Nancy said.
She got up from the sofa and opened the door herself.
"Miss Nancy, it's been a long time." A graceful and melodious female voice rang out from outside the door.
Gilan saw it clearly.
There were five people outside the door: two women and three men. They were all dressed in high-end and luxurious clothes, and were clearly not ordinary people.
The young lady at the head of the group had long, light blonde hair adorned with a white lace hair clip, and wore a beige silk dress. Sparkling jewelry adorned her slender neck and wrists.
Her face was gentle and quite beautiful. Her fair skin and bright red lips easily reminded one of exquisite porcelain works of art.
" Dadeier, welcome."
Nancy hugged him and gave him an affectionate cheek kiss.
"Cousin Nancy! Am I not welcome?"
Behind Dadeier, a young man with short hair and a youthful appearance laughed.
"Of course you're welcome," Nancy said. "We haven't seen each other in a long time, Franz."
The young man named Franz was born to a member of the Jacob Viscount Family, specifically to the younger sister of Xenia.
He had an exceptionally close relationship with the four Prince siblings.
"Let's come in first," Nancy said, stepping aside to welcome everyone in.
Gilan stood up with Prince and the others, but stood silently to the side, watching them greet them.
After everyone sat down, Gilan noticed that the young man Franz, kept glancing at Nancy, his eyes revealing a hint of barely perceptible admiration.
Gilan raised an eyebrow.
"Let me introduce you. This is our elder brother, Gilan Iros. He also loves martial arts and is very skilled at it."
Nancy introduced it to her friends.
Everyone's attention then turned to Gilan.
"Brother?" Franz looked puzzled and unconsciously glanced at Prince.
Prince shrugged and said casually:
"The father's long-lost son."
The two women and three men immediately understood.
Although Prince phrased it delicately, they all understood the subtext.
It turns out he was an illegitimate child...
Illegitimate children are not well-regarded in their circle. After all, in ten or twenty years, only direct descendants will be able to hold power in the family and thus provide mutual assistance within the circle.
It may be materialistic, but that's reality.
Dadeier seemed unconcerned, offering her hand with a polite smile.
"Mr. Gilan, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Because Nancy and Milinda were in between, her movements were a bit large, bending over with her hair cascading down like a waterfall.
Seeing this, Gilan had no choice but to get up and shake hands with him.
"Hello, Dadeier."
It was only when he got closer that he noticed another young woman sitting next to the other person.
She had long, wavy blonde hair and a curvaceous figure. Her blue-green eyes were alluring, her nose was high and straight, her lips were red, and she had a beauty mark at the corner of her mouth.
'Is it her?'
Gilan immediately thought of the " Miss Rabbit " he had seen in the memories of the black market merchant " Big Goose ".
The other young people didn't seem inclined to shake hands or greet Gilan; they simply watched quietly. Gilan, of course, didn't want to make a fool of herself, so she went back to sit on the sofa.
But Dadeier took the initiative to introduce him to the other people.
The woman beside her was named Jenna Clare, a friend she had met at the party, and the daughter of the president of the July Baptist Church.
This " July Baptist Church " is a grassroots organization that originated from the Church of Hope.
They disapproved of the church's practices, especially the elaborate rituals of immersion, and did not believe that Omer's Dawn Era should be conveyed to believers through the church. Thus, the Baptist Society was born under these circumstances.
The Baptist Society has a considerable membership, but it has never received official recognition.
The other three young men, besides Franz of the Jacob Viscount Family, are Zigui Popkov, the third son of the current Foreign Minister, and Kordel Lotito, the second son of the Propaganda Department Staven.
Zigui is slightly overweight, not very talkative, and rather shy. He and Joann are both twelfth-year students at " Rudao Court Academy ".
Kordel was a handsome young man with dark hair, the same age as Prince, and also a fourteenth-grade student. More importantly, he was also a suitor of Dadeier.
After the introductions, the men and women all nodded to Gilan as a greeting.
But soon they turned around and started chatting with the four Princenancy siblings, clearly not paying any attention to Gillan.
Gilan didn't seem to care and continued drinking her tea.
But as they chatted and laughed, Gilan noticed something interesting.
That is, the relationships within this circle seem somewhat chaotic.
Franz always gazed at his cousin Nancy with eager eyes, while the slightly chubby young man, Zigui, would occasionally strike up a conversation with Milinda, but the girl didn't seem to care much for him.
Kordel and Prince, like two male peacocks, circled around Dadeier, their conversations revolving around her various interests and recent activities. Unfortunately, the dazzling girl only responded politely each time.
His smile was gentle, yet there was an inexplicable sense of distance between him and others.
As for Joann, he moved closer to Miss Jenna, who was clearly a few years older than him, and said something that made the young lady giggle.
Ms. Xizi had already left the private room when everyone entered and went to stand guard outside the door. Gilan, on the other hand, seemed like an outsider, unnoticed, coldly observing everything.
He sighed inwardly at the intricate web of relationships.
Immediately, he stood up, holding his teacup, and walked alone to the glass wall, looking down at the venue below.
On a metal plate suspended from the ceiling, a mechanical clock pointed to nine o'clock.
With a few rings of the bell, the two members who had been warming up and sparring left the stage. Immediately afterward, a middle-aged host wearing a white shirt, black trousers, and a red bow tie came on stage.
After exchanging some pleasantries, he announced the official start of the " Monthly Salon " competition.
Two men wearing only short-sleeved shirts then walked to the center of the field.
The first match was a martial arts contest.
The gentlemen and ladies in the surrounding seats waved and cheered, showing great anticipation and enthusiasm for the match.
"Mr. Gilan, who do you think will win?"
Just then, a melodious female voice came from beside me.
Gilan turned her head and saw Miss Dadeier.
She smiled, a hint of inquiry flickering in her beautiful black eyes.
Gilan did not answer her immediately, but instead watched the fight below.
The two men had engaged in an extremely fierce fight, with powerful punches and swift kicks, and the blows were evenly matched.
He could tell that both of them were at the level of Emblem -level fighters, but one of them was clearly not quite right.
That guy was wearing sunglasses.
"The man wearing sunglasses will win," Gilan said casually.
"Oh?" Miss Dadeier looked interested. "Why?"
