"Wonderful!"
"Turning defeat into victory!"
"My God, it can still fight back after suffering repeated heavy blows?!"
" Ewan! Ewan!!"
In the audience, the gentlemen and ladies who supported Ewan cheered.
Exclamations of surprise echoed from the private rooms on the second floor.
The young people looked at the sunglasses-wearing man on the field, whose right arm was being Judge, and found it unbelievable.
"Mr. Aslan has actually lost!"
"Could there be something fishy going on?" Joann asked doubtfully. "Those last few moves were clearly enough to defeat Mr. Ewan, so why did he still have the strength to fight back?"
Prince suppressed his displeasure and explained:
"How could there be any behind-the-scenes manipulation in the ' Monthly Salon ' competition? Unless they don't want to continue hosting it in North Muse."
"It must be a secret technique..."
"So, Mr. Ewan has already developed his secret technique?"
"He'll become a master even before Mr. Aslan?!"
"No wonder... he was originally more skilled in cane techniques, but he chose to participate in the hand-to-hand combat competition; this is the reason."
Everyone chimed in with their own opinions, seemingly analyzing the reasons for Ewan's victory.
"Sorry everyone, it seems I'm the only winner of this bet."
Miss Dadeier smiled and greeted them with delight.
Immediately, she looked past the crowd and landed on the young man in the black coat at the very edge.
"I also have to thank Mr. Gilan. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have been confident in placing a bet on Mr. Ewan."
Everyone followed her gaze.
The blond youth remained calm, not even turning his head, still staring down as if observing something.
They all knew, however, that Miss Dadeier was just being polite.
Gilan offered no analysis or insight, simply predicting that Ewan would win; who knows if he was just spouting off?
It was just a lucky coincidence.
Just then, the girl in the uniform from before knocked on the door and handed Dadeier a banknote containing 400 Caesar.
"Congratulations, Miss Dadeier Taylor, your bet on Mr. Ewan has won the first fighting match. Including the initial stake, this is a winnings of 400 Caesar. Please check it."
The girl said.
Dadeier thanked her and walked straight to Gilan's side.
"Mr. Gilan, half of the winnings are yours."
She smiled, pulled out a hundred-dollar bill, handed it over, and asked:
"Can you tell me how you knew Mr. Ewan would win?"
Gilan withdrew her gaze and glanced at the elegant young lady beside her.
He glanced again at the banknotes held between her slender, fair fingers.
"Because Gilan is a martial arts master himself!"
Milinda chuckled behind her.
"Isn't it normal that you can tell?"
"?!"
Everyone was taken aback upon hearing this.
A brief silence fell over the scene.
Fighting Master?!
Is this young man, who's the same age as them, a master?!
"Haha." Kordel snapped out of his reverie and broke the silence with a couple of laughs. "If that's the case, then it does explain things."
He shook his head again.
"But the problem is, I've never seen such a young master before."
As he spoke, he looked at the cutely dressed girl and raised an eyebrow.
"Miss Milinda, according to you, wouldn't all the geniuses in the academy be considered useless?"
The group exchanged glances, seemingly agreeing with Kordel's assessment.
They all knew Milinda's personality well.
To put it nicely, they are playful and lively; to put it bluntly, they are mischievous and troublesome, always exaggerating and stirring up trouble.
"Oh, you don't believe me?"
Milinda looked a little angry, pouting and pointing at her brother with her hands on her hips.
" Prince was beaten up badly by Gilan once; even Father's two bodyguards couldn't stop him!"
"If you don't believe me, just ask him."
"Um?!"
Everyone turned their attention back to Prince.
"Is that so?" Kordel asked, looking on with suspicion.
Prince's face fell, utterly embarrassed.
Cold sweat streamed down his forehead.
Is this something that can be said in public?
Does he have no shame?!
He glared at his younger sister, pretending not to hear Kordel's question, and remained silent.
Everyone looked at Nancy and Joann, and seeing their tacit expressions, they were immediately filled with disbelief.
This illegitimate eldest son of the House Fahan is really a master?!
"Mr. Gilan, I never expected you to be so shrewd."
Miss Dadeier looked at the blond youth in front of her, her eyes flashing.
Gilan casually took the banknote from her fingers and stuffed it into his pocket.
"Thank you," he said. "But it has nothing to do with my own strength."
"The reason Ewan won was simply because he was a sorcerer."
Gilan told the truth.
Miss Dadeier's overtures to him present an opportunity; perhaps he could befriend her to inquire about the purchase channels for Mercury Battery and mysterious materials.
On the other hand, he wanted to see how the capital's officials would treat the mysterious figure.
This is also why he deliberately revealed Ewan's background.
Gilan saw it all with perfect clarity through his spiritual vision.
Behind Mr. Ewan, there was a devil standing from beginning to end!
The reason he always wore sunglasses was actually to conceal his dark eyes, which were now afflicted by a " Bloodthirst Curse."
Gilan guessed that this guy had probably only recently made a pact with the devil and knew nothing about the mystical realm, hence his eagerness to test his mystical powers.
"A sorcerer?"
Everyone looked confused and puzzled, as if they had never heard of this term before.
However, both Dadeier and Miss Jenna paused, as if they had realized something.
"I see, Mr. Ewan borrowed the power of the devil."
Dadeier looked thoughtful and murmured to herself.
"Devil?!"
The group looked at each other in bewilderment.
Miss Dadeier nodded and explained to the crowd:
"I joined a ' Mystery Research Group ' at the academy and saw a description of it in an ancient book. Those who make a pact with the devil are called 'sorcerers,' and they can borrow the power of the devil."
"Can... can this be believed?"
Joann glanced at the expressions of the people around her and asked skeptically.
Dadeier shook her head.
"I don't know if it's true or not, after all, according to ancient texts, normal people can't see demons."
"Huh? Normal people can't see it?"
Prince smiled.
He turned and glanced at Gilan, saying meaningfully:
"So since there's no way to prove it anyway, just randomly slinging on a so-called 'sorcerer'... isn't that a bit disrespectful to Mr. Ewan?"
"Ha." Kordel sneered. "Why don't you try and see?"
He turned and walked to a corner of the private room, where a telephone was placed.
Kordel picked up the receiver and dialed a mysterious number.
Shortly after, after being transferred, the Propaganda Department's second son spoke:
"Uncle Yovan, I've run into some trouble at the Silver Lizard Club. Well... yes, I suspect that club member Ewan Bullock is a sorcerer."
