Flower Town's second seagoing vessel arrived swiftly.

It was a fat, large two-masted sailing ship, its hull neither new nor old, its sails still bearing patches. Flower had just returned from transporting charcoal and was docked at Flower Port, providing the perfect contrast to this sailing ship.

It was roughly twice as wide as Flower, though nearly the same length.

Its mast sails were also relatively broad, making it look plumper than Flower no matter how one looked at it. However, its bow was broad as well, nowhere near as sharp as Flower's.

With such a build, it could not sail very fast. Flower could reach seven knots, while this ship's top speed was limited to five knots.

Crossing between Flower Town and Black Horse Island would probably take fifteen or sixteen hours.

Setting out before dawn, it would only arrive after nightfall.

"My lord, I bought it back!" Gortai leaped excitedly from the ship and hurried over to report to Liszt. "It cost a total of three hundred and forty gold coins. This Barley has been sailing for two and a half years without any accidents, and its quality is quite good in every respect. After comparing several cargo ships, Barley was the most suitable."

After carefully boarding and inspecting the ship, Flower's captain, Kosto, agreed with Gortai's assessment. "My lord, this Barley truly is excellent. At three hundred and forty gold coins, it is well worth the price."

Liszt did not know much about ships.

But he was generally satisfied with Barley as well. The cargo ship's overall frame was sound; with a few minor repairs, it could certainly be made to look as good as new.

After considering it, he said, "Barley does not suit Flower Town's character. Change its name. Call it... Thorn."
