The pressure brought by the dragon assassination incident was swiftly dissolved by the banter between father and sons.

Levis was no longer tense, Liszt appeared more relaxed as well, and the Count was even in the mood to pour each of his two sons a glass of New Moon Wine.

The three of them then analyzed the possible consequences of the dragon assassination incident as though viewing it from God's perspective.

The analysis and reasoning were simple.

Assuming the dragon-slaying incident was real and had already occurred, there were three possible outcomes—Marquis Bull killed the Sapphire Dragon, the country collapsed, and Coral Island had to find a new way forward; Marquis Bull's rebellion was suppressed, the Sapphire Dragon remained unharmed, and Coral Island merely had to await the Grand Duke's orders.

Then there was a compromise scenario—Marquis Bull's assassination failed, but the Sapphire Dragon was injured as well. In that case, the Sapphire Grand Duchy would not swiftly perish, but undercurrents among all manner of internal and external forces would inevitably surge. How Coral Island should act while caught in the midst of it all was a headache.

Now, they discussed each possibility separately.

"If the dragon is killed, we must abandon the Sapphire Family without hesitation! Perhaps rallying behind Marquis Bull would be the right choice, if he can become a lich." Levis voiced his thoughts on the first possibility. As for humans seeking refuge with a lich, that was unimportant.

But the Count shook his head. "Liszt, what do you think?"

"I don't think Marquis Bull becoming a lich is promising. Immortality without power is merely courting death. Those kings and grand dukes surely wouldn't mind riding dragons to capture him and treat him as excellent experimental material... If he truly becomes a lich, he will definitely hide
