Thanks to Alliance Leader Bittertree for the generous contribution. There are still four more updates to come.

Chris Truth had advanced to become a Grand Magician.

Before the tofu had even been made, good news had already arrived. When Liszt saw Chris, who had come to the castle to share the news, he was equally excited.

He did indeed have reservations about magicians.

It was not because magicians liked to cause explosions or the like, but because their pursuit of truth made them utterly uninhibited. Those lunatics from the Goat Gathering dared to slaughter even dragons—what was there that they would not dare to do? Liszt did not want such a pack of madmen in his territory.

But A Ke, the water-element Grand Magician and sea demon, was different. He belonged exclusively to Liszt and was a direct source of the sea's wealth. Paris, the light-element magician and Black Dragon Thrall, was also different. Though this new commander of the Patrol Knights had changed professions to become a magician, she had not the slightest interest in pursuing truth.

Finally, Chris Truth—the genuine human Grand Magician and one without a lopsided specialization—was different as well.

She had indeed said that she would devote everything to truth and spend her entire life pursuing it. But Liszt had saved her life, and that bond would restrain any mad impulses she might have. Besides, after spending time with her, Liszt felt that Chris was simply an ordinary scholar.

She liked exploring truth, certainly, but she did not possess those crazed, twisted ideas.

Under Liszt's constant influence, she had already integrated into life in the territory. She often went for baths, ate at restaurants, took walks in the countryside, and even enjoyed watching comedy plays.

She lived the life of an ordinary person.
