As dawn slowly broke, the fleets docked at Bull Hoof City's harbor departed one after another. The Sunset followed the Tulip Fleet out of the harbor.

This was the first task Liszt had assigned them: "Compile the blood magic you are familiar with into a book, detailing the casting methods for every type of magic, as well as comprehensive information on reincarnation rituals and the like. Also include the composition of the Black Knight Family and any other vampire families you know of."
The vampires were somewhat taken aback.
They did not understand the purpose of this task.
Only Bloody Mary, who considered herself clever, asked with sparkling eyes, "My lord, do you wish to establish a new vampire family?"
Liszt nodded without confirming or denying it.
Blood magic was strange and eerie.
Vampire blood was cold. During the day, they needed to hide in dark places to keep their body temperature low. "Cold-blooded animals" usually implied treachery and betrayal. Whether that saying was right or not, Bloody Mary and the other vampires gave him precisely that impression.
So he had no desire to establish any new vampire family. Still, there was no harm in using the prospect of founding a new family as bait to motivate these five vampires to work.
His true intention was to compile blood magic into a magic tome.
He would hand it over to A Ke, Chris, and the others for study, so they could draw meaningful inspiration from it and lay the foundation for their push toward becoming magicians—Chris's talent might not be sufficient, but A Ke had an excellent chance of advancing to magician.
