"What's going on?"
Watching the Invisible Dragon fly into the sky, Liszt's mood sank to rock bottom.
He had prepared for riding the Invisible Dragon for a long time: an exquisitely prepared feast of Smoke-Cured Grass, Dragon-Bewildering Heart Fruit sewn into roasted meat. He had thought these were foolproof measures.
Yet the Dragon-Bewildering Heart Fruit had been spat out by the Invisible Dragon.
He had thought the plan had failed, only for the situation to take a sudden turn—the Invisible Dragon had actively sought to be ridden. But the battlefield of their mental battle was a labyrinth even more complicated than the Alternate-Dimension Killing Array. He could neither smash his way through it nor resort to tricks, while the Invisible Dragon loafed about inside the maze.
It had severely worsened his experience of riding a dragon. It felt as though the Invisible Dragon was deliberately using this method to make him retreat in the face of difficulty!
To make him stop setting his sights on it.
Those densely packed, convoluted crystal structures, those endless forks that seemed to constantly shift—this was simply not something humans could break through. Perhaps the maze was never meant to be entered and exited by normal means, but the ability to traverse space was not something Liszt could possibly master.
Other than being at his wits' end, he had no other choice.
Failure to ride the dragon—he accepted it! Perhaps the power of fate could only guide, not control, the Invisible Dragon, another Holy Dragon—or perhaps the Invisible Dragon had already been reborn ahead of time, with its fate in its own grasp. Before this, both the Fire Dragon and the Emerald Dragon had died long ago.
Only then had the power of fate been able to slip in through the cracks.
