Background

Tang Hao is Tang San's father and the husband of Ah Yin, a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast. When Spirit Hall discovered Ah Yin before she reached maturity, Qian Xunji pursued the pair; Ah Yin ultimately sacrificed herself to Tang Hao, leaving him with her Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring. Tang Hao also severely wounded Qian Xunji during that period. 56 74

He concealed Tang San's Clear Sky Hammer inheritance and Twin Martial Souls to protect his son. Although he remained a direct descendant of the Clear Sky Sect, the sect had expelled him, while the Strength Clan continued to regard him as its master. 46 55 64

Tang Hao kept the Blue Silver Emperor seedling and Ah Yin's Hundred-Thousand-Year right leg bone in a cave behind Holy Soul Village. When Jin Feng stole both items, Tang Hao mistakenly concluded that Spirit Hall was responsible. 55 56

Personality

Tang Hao is fiercely protective of Tang San and Xiao Wu. He shadowed Tang San after the latter was injured by Jin Feng, intervened when Xiao Wu's identity was exposed, and repeatedly risked his life to keep them safe. 45 53 114 115

His protectiveness can become vindictive and reckless. After Ah Yin's relics were stolen, he destroyed more than a dozen Spirit Hall branches and killed everyone inside, including personnel and civilians, while demanding the return of the seedling and Soul Bone. 56

Despite his aggression, Tang Hao can be pragmatic. He hid his Clear Sky Hammer during his first clash with Jin Feng's group to keep Tang San's background secret, accepted Ning Fengzhi's three-year pact to delay Xiao Wu's pursuit, and offered Xiao Wu a choice between returning to the Star Dou Forest or remaining with Tang San temporarily. 46 75 76

Retaliation against Jin Feng

After Jin Feng defeated and severely injured Tang San, Tang Hao observed from the shadows and followed Jin Feng's party into the Star Dou Forest. He intended to make Jin Feng bedridden for a month in retaliation. 45 46

Tang Hao refused to reveal his Clear Sky Hammer because doing so could expose Tang San's identity and Twin Martial Souls. He was surrounded by Niu Gao, Dugu Bo, Niu Ben, and the Fourth Elder, suffered further injuries, and escaped using his soul bones. 46 47

Loss of Ah Yin's Relics

Jin Feng exploited Tang Hao's absence while he protected Tang San and Xiao Wu, stealing the Blue Silver Emperor seedling and Hundred-Thousand-Year right leg bone from Holy Soul Village. 54 55

Upon discovering the empty cave and Jin Feng's message of “Interest,” Tang Hao blamed Spirit Hall and began demolishing Spirit Hall branches throughout the Heaven Dou Empire. 56

Conflict with Spirit Hall

Tang Hao confronted Spirit Hall's forces while demanding Ah Yin's Soul Bone and seedling. He revealed his Clear Sky Hammer, Divine Slaughter's Domain, and nine-ring configuration. 58

Despite being surrounded by Spirit Hall experts, he killed one Soul Douluo, killed more than a dozen Soul Saints and Soul Emperors, injured Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo, severely wounded Snake Lance Douluo, and escaped with serious injuries. 58

Protection of Xiao Wu and Tang San

Tang Hao revealed Xiao Wu's identity to Tang San and explained Ah Yin's fate, prompting Tang San to vow to protect Xiao Wu and avenge both their mothers. 75

He helped Tang San attach a Ten-Thousand-Year soul ring to the Clear Sky Hammer and attempted to suppress the resulting conflict between Tang San's two Martial Souls. After the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud stabilized Tang San and granted him the Sea God's inheritance, Tang Hao encouraged his son's path toward godhood. 89

Spirit City Rescue and Defeat

When Spirit Hall exposed Xiao Wu as a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast, Tang Hao arrived at Spirit City to rescue her. He used the Clear Sky Avatar and his ninth soul skill to overpower Bibi Dong and five other Titled Douluo before escaping with Tang San and Xiao Wu. 114

Shortly afterward, Niu Gao and two Defense Clan elders intercepted him. Already badly wounded from the Spirit Hall battle, Tang Hao was overwhelmed while protecting Tang San and Xiao Wu. 115

Tang Hao then challenged Jin Feng despite his injuries. Jin Feng matched him in direct combat, used Giant God's Strength and Golden Light Slash, and severed Tang Hao's right arm. 116
