Chasing the Human-Faced Demon Spider, an Unexpected Encounter

After the Human-Faced Demon Spider was drawn in by the scent of the spirit herb, it seemed to sense the presence of humans.

"Tai Shi, don't let it get away! Let's give chase!" one of the burly men shouted.

The two men pursued the Diamond Demon Ape, but they hadn't run for long before they witnessed a horrific scene.

A massive Human-Faced Demon Spider appeared, and as the Diamond Demon Ape ran toward it, the spider impaled the ape's body with its legs.

In no time at all, it had drained the Diamond Demon Ape dry.

"My spirit ring!" the young man roared, ready to rush forward and fight the Human-Faced Demon Spider to the death.

"Young Master, that is a ten-thousand-year spirit beast! You are no match for it, run!" Tai Shi shouted.

The young man he addressed was well-built but appeared simple-minded; even so, he finally realized the terror of the ten-thousand-year spirit beast.

"Young Master, run! I will stay behind to draw it away!"

"Uncle Shi, you are a Spirit King—are you really no match for it?" the burly youth asked.

"Young Master, although I am a Spirit King, I do not possess a ten-thousand-year spirit skill. I am absolutely no match for it."

The young master finally realized the gravity of the situation: "Uncle Shi, then I'm leaving first. You must be careful!"

Not far away, Ling Feng and Liu Erlong trailed behind the Human-Faced Demon Spider, watching as it devoured a thousand-year spirit beast to replenish its strength.
