The random range of a Bronze Grade Mastery Book was 5 to 25 points, but in truth, the vast majority awarded only single-digit amounts. Rewards exceeding 10 points were exceedingly rare.
However, a Mithril Grade Mastery Book had a random range of 20 to 100 points. Even at the worst, it gave around 30 more Mastery Points. With good luck, one might leap straight from advanced Tier 1 to beginner Tier 2, gaining a 10% boost in one go. That would be absolutely exhilarating.
