"Town-Building Order?"
Shi Feng looked at the weathered parchment that had suddenly appeared in his hand, hardly able to believe it.
In God's Domain, a Town-Building Order was an incomparably precious item. Normally, one could only obtain one by achieving the first kill of a special field Boss or completing an epic-or-higher team quest.
Its value even surpassed that of a captured town.
Captured towns had fixed locations, whereas a Town-Building Order had no such restrictions. One could establish a town anywhere, even on a neutral map. This was the greatest value of a Town-Building Order.
Neutral maps had no teleportation points at all, so players could only run there themselves. Moreover, neutral maps rarely had towns. The Beastman Empire only had capturable towns within its borders because it had risen with the expansion. In other places, wanting to occupy a town as a base while having NPC guards protect it was simply a dream.
Of course, precisely because of this, these towns lacked some of the functions that guild towns should have. For example, they had no town promotion function at all. No matter how well one developed them, they would never advance. A town built with a Town-Building Order had no such limitation and could be promoted freely, advancing from a town to a city without any problem.
However, using a Town-Building Order to establish a town on a neutral map required a far greater price—several times, or even dozens of times, more than building one in a kingdom or empire. Neutral maps were not safe zones and were filled with dangers. Developing an uninhabited region teeming with enemies naturally came at a steep cost. The higher-level the neutral map, the higher the price. Most importantly, towns in neutral regions could easily come under attack from monsters, unlike
