Dozens of level 1 players ran over, and the area in front of Shi Feng's party began to bustle with activity.
"This guy is truly a piece of work. He's so desperate to run a dungeon that he's scraping the bottom of the barrel, even taking level 1 noobs. Doesn't he know that a party of level 2 elites already died and crawled back from the Dead Silence Forest?"
"Forget him. A noob is a noob, after all. We can't possibly understand the way their minds work."
The line of level 2 players waiting their turn scoffed at Shi Feng's actions, all of them eager to watch him make a fool of himself.
"That guy is certainly interesting. Even I don't have much confidence in clearing the Dead Silence Forest, yet he's actually looking for a group of level 1 players to do it." Zhao Yueru looked toward Shi Feng, the corners of her mouth curling into a faint, mocking smile, her tone laced with disdain.
Bai Qingxue also cast a glance at Shi Feng in the distance. His expression was calm and confident; he didn't seem angered by the ridicule of the crowd. His every movement was mature, much like the experts she had seen in God's Domain. However, she couldn't understand where his confidence came from. As the first dungeon near Red Leaf Town, the Dead Silence Forest was everyone's first encounter with a God's Domain dungeon, and its difficulty was unknown. Even elite guild parties would select their members with extreme caution, yet Shi Feng didn't seem to care at all, as if just gathering six people was enough.
Perhaps I'm overthinking it. He's just a level 1 player; how could he possibly clear the Dead Silence Forest? Bai Qingxue gently smoothed her hair, dismissing the thought of Shi Feng's strange behavior. She looked at the player profile displayed in her hand. "Level 2 Summoner, magic damage 28, HP 150, defense 8, movement speed 4. Not qualified. Next."
A Cursemancer then stepped forward, nervously sending his stats to the Ice Goddess, Bai Qingxue.
On the other side, Shi Feng was also reviewing player data.
Although he hadn't logged off, he had his bottom line.
The level 1 players here were far inferior to the level 2 players recruited by Bai Qingxue's party in terms of gear and level, but they were players nonetheless. As long as they hadn't wasted their first 8 attribute points, the chances of clearing the Dead Silence Forest with a full party of six were quite high.
As for those Shield Warriors and Guardian Knights who had dumped all their points into Strength, or weapon-based classes that ignored Agility, he wouldn't take them at all.
"Big Brother, please add me to your party. I'm a level 1 Guardian Knight, but I have one piece of level 0 common gear, and I haven't spent my 8 free attribute points yet. I can add them exactly as you require." A young man named Kele looked at him with hopeful eyes.
Shi Feng was slightly surprised. A Guardian Knight who hadn't spent a single free attribute point and had still managed to reach level 1 was a rare find. Guardian Knights had very low attack power and struggled to kill monsters; they usually relied on parties to level up, and for the sake of efficiency, most would add points into Strength to avoid slow leveling.
Guardian Knight Kele?
"Kele... Kele." Shi Feng looked at Kele's face, his tall frame, and well-developed muscles. He felt a sense of familiarity and fell into deep thought; he felt he had heard of someone like this in his memories.
That's right, it's Tyrant Bear!
Shi Feng remembered. Tyrant Bear's name was Kele. In the early days of God's Domain, Tyrant Bear had been the main MT for the first-rate guild Glorious Stars. He had been frustrated and overlooked, eventually driven out by the third-rate guild Crown of Heaven. Later, after joining Glorious Stars, he had shone brilliantly, rising from a standard party MT to the MT of their main elite raid team. He was ranked fifteenth among all Guardian Knights in the Star-Moon Kingdom, known for being both tanky and capable of dealing damage. He never expected Tyrant Bear to show up here on his own, and with such a shy personality—it was completely different from the Tyrant Bear he knew ten years later.
A thought immediately crossed Shi Feng's mind.
Right now, Tyrant Bear hadn't joined Crown of Heaven, let alone Glorious Stars. If he could poach him and make him his own MT, wouldn't running dungeons in the future be a breeze?
"Big Brother, I promise I will absolutely follow your orders in the dungeon. Please, reconsider." Kele's tone was pleading.
Shi Feng almost laughed out loud. The dignified Tyrant Bear was actually acting so humble just for a spot in a dungeon party, but he managed to hold it in.
The level 1 players who came here were all clinging to a glimmer of hope. Other parties couldn't even clear the Dead Silence Forest with level 2 players, let alone level 1s. If they could manage one run and get lucky enough to snag a piece of gear or two, it would be a huge boost to their future development, making it much easier to join a large guild.
"Fine, I can add you," Shi Feng said with a serious expression. "But you need to understand, taking a level 1 noob like you into the Dead Silence Forest isn't easy. I can't have you clear the dungeon, take the gear, and then turn around and leave to join some other elite party. That would be a waste of my hard work."
As soon as Shi Feng finished, many level 1 players cast disdainful looks his way. Aren't you a level 1 noob yourself?
Shi Feng ignored their feelings and continued, "I'm looking to build a stable party. Even if I recruit people, stability is my priority. If you want to run this dungeon, you have to be prepared for the long haul. When I call you to run a dungeon, you must show up; you can't refuse because of other matters. What is your choice?"
The crowd fell silent upon hearing Shi Feng's words.
Shi Feng's meaning was clear: if they wanted to join his party, they couldn't join other parties in the future, and they certainly couldn't join a guild.
Everyone knew that joining a guild was the fastest way for a player to improve their strength.
They were currently unqualified to join any decent guilds, which was why they were trying their luck here, hoping to snag a piece of gear that might help them get in. Why would they give up the chance to join a good guild just for one dungeon run?
Kele hadn't expected Shi Feng to make such a demand. It was harsh, but reasonable—you couldn't expect someone to train you and then have you walk away the moment you became strong. Still, coming from Shi Feng, the words lacked a bit of weight.
At this moment, Heizi stepped forward, looking indignant. "Just look at you noobs. Nobody even wants you for a dungeon run right now, yet you're still dreaming about joining a good guild for benefits. Do you really think you're experts, or do you think we're just suckers?"
The hesitant Kele felt that the 'expert' Heizi made a good point. Even this level 2 expert with three pieces of Bronze Equipment was in this party; what right did a rookie noob like him have to complain?
"Thank you for the guidance, Big Brother Expert. I will definitely work hard to do my job well," Kele said, quickly thanking Heizi.
Being thanked by Kele and called an expert made Heizi feel a bit awkward. He was a complete fraud of an expert, but being called that made him want to work even harder to become a true God's Domain expert.
"Heizi, well done!" Shi Feng whispered, giving him a thumbs-up.
He hadn't expected Tyrant Bear to be tamed by Heizi just like that, and to call Heizi 'Big Brother' with such reverence.
Heizi was confused, not understanding what he had done to deserve such praise from Shi Feng, but he was happy nonetheless. At least he had done something for Shi Feng, even if he didn't know what it was.
After another ten minutes or so, Shi Feng finally gathered his six members and was ready to start the dungeon.
