"This just got troublesome."
When Azure Phoenix saw the Ranger Thousand Blades open with an area-of-effect skill, she could not help but worry for Water Rose.
Rangers were physical ranged classes. The vast majority of their skills were single-target, with very few area-of-effect skills. Normally, when dealing with a Ranger's arrows, one only needed to watch for frontal attacks. Their attack patterns were very straightforward, so even someone who was not an expert could dodge them.
However, once a Ranger mastered area-of-effect skills, their attack patterns were no longer so simple, making it far more difficult to evade their arrows.
Agility-based classes could handle this relatively easily, but Water Rose was a Cursemancer. Her mobility was far inferior, so avoiding the attacks of an expert like Thousand Blades would be even harder.
"Now I'll let you experience what it feels like to wish you were dead." Thousand Blades drew his longbow to its full extent and rapidly fired poisoned arrows around Water Rose.
All those poisoned arrows targeted Water Rose's most likely escape route—the right side. When he used Rainfall, he had deliberately shifted its range toward Water Rose's left. To dodge the rain of arrows, moving right was naturally the easier choice.
In a battle between experts, it was common sense to use the first strike to set up the second.
As Water Rose watched the arrows rain down from the sky, she did not move. She merely waved her jade-green staff lightly, and a pale red shield enveloped her.

But it was not over yet. Water Rose slammed her jade-green staff
