Tsunade's Guidance

After hearing Tsunade, Uchiha Yuzhen didn't rush to act.

Instead, he looked pleadingly at Namikaze Minato.

Seeing this, Minato rubbed his forehead helplessly. "Yuzhen... just listen to Lady Tsunade and perform the Mystical Palm Technique once."

"Besides, I'm curious to see how you learned Medical Ninjutsu!"

He really was curious...

From Obito and Kakashi's conversation just now, it sounded like Yuzhen had only started learning Medical Ninjutsu from Rin recently.

Although he'd already prepared himself for Yuzhen's "monstrous" nature,

if he really had learned a Rank A Medical Ninjutsu in a single morning...

That would push the limits of what he thought possible.

He wanted to see for himself if it was true!

Hearing his teacher's instructions,

Uchiha Yuzhen raised both hands. The moment he formed the hand seal,

a healing green light appeared between his hands.

"There's no doubt about it. That's the Mystical Palm Technique." This time, Orochimaru truly saw Uchiha Yuzhen in a new light.

He hadn't thought much of the boy before.

No matter how strong he was or how well he used the Flying Thunder God, he'd just be another "Minato."

But the ability he'd just demonstrated—to learn ninjutsu at such an astonishing speed—had taken him by surprise.

His goal was to learn every technique in the world.

That goal was what had given rise to his desire for immortality.

After all, a finite lifespan was no match for an infinite number of techniques to learn...

The brief span of a human life was simply too short!

"Hmph! You don't need to tell us. We can see it!" Tsunade shot Orochimaru an annoyed glance.

Then she turned to look at Yuzhen with a serious expression.

As a master healer, she might not dare perform surgery at the moment because of her Hemophobia,

but her experience and discernment were still there!

The green glow of this Mystical Palm Technique, along with the steady chakra frequency...

A steady frequency meant that, as long as the boy adjusted his chakra output according to the severity of the illness, he'd be able to cure most diseases!

Even so, she still found it hard to believe.

She walked over to Uchiha Yuzhen.

"Hmm? Is something wrong, Lady Tsunade?" Seeing the beautiful woman in front of him, Yuzhen was a little baffled.

Tsunade's impressive figure also kept drawing his gaze away.

Tsunade held out her hand and said gravely, "Channel the chakra from your Mystical Palm Technique into my body. I want to see how good it really is!"

"Tsunade, you don't have any wounds?" Jiraiya had been watching for a while. Hearing her instructions, he couldn't make sense of it.

"Idiot! Just watch what Tsunade does." Orochimaru patted Jiraiya on the shoulder, stopping him from asking more questions.

He didn't want Jiraiya to get beaten up by Tsunade again...

Yuzhen obediently took Tsunade's outstretched hand and immediately channeled the chakra of the Mystical Palm Technique into her body.

A buzzing sound filled the air.

After about ten seconds, Tsunade furrowed her brow. "That's enough. Stop the Mystical Palm Technique."

Yuzhen immediately obeyed, stepping aside and standing quietly.

Tsunade kept her brow furrowed as she stared at Yuzhen in silence.

Jiraiya didn't dare speak to Tsunade in that state, and Orochimaru didn't want to invite trouble.

The younger ones all behaved themselves.

Seeing this, Minato braced himself and asked Tsunade, "How was it, Lady Tsunade?"

"There's nothing wrong with his Mystical Palm Technique. He's undoubtedly a genius." Tsunade answered at once. "His theory is shaky, but his technique is flawless."

After answering Minato, she turned to Yuzhen, who was standing there quietly.

She said with an annoyed look, "Kid, didn't you want to learn Medical Ninjutsu? Then come with me!"

"If you wait any longer, there won't be enough time for you to learn, even if you want to."

"Yes, Lady Tsunade!" Yuzhen replied loudly, bowing ninety degrees.

Then, as he straightened up, he thought about the second half of what Tsunade had said.

He asked, puzzled, "There won't be time if I wait any longer?"

Smack—!

Just then, Jiraiya seemed to remember something and slapped his forehead.

Looking a little embarrassed, he turned to the younger members of Team Minato.

He explained:

"I almost forgot. The old man has already arranged everyone's deployment to deal with the war that's breaking out."

As he spoke, Jiraiya pointed to Orochimaru beside him and to the bewildered Uchiha Yuzhen.

"Orochimaru, Uchiha Yuzhen, and I will all be heading to different borders in two days."

"We came today to say goodbye to Minato. We ran into you on the way, heard you were training here, and stopped by to take a look."

"Huh?!" all four of them exclaimed.

Everyone in Team Minato was surprised!

"Got it, brat?" Tsunade turned and walked away. "Hurry up and follow me!"

"Of course, Teacher Tsunade!" Yuzhen immediately took the opportunity to call her teacher.

Then he trotted after her.

Tsunade and Yuzhen were headed to Konoha Hospital.

Konoha Hospital was in an excellent location.

Not only was it in the central district,

but it was also easy to get to, making it convenient for patients.

That suited Yuzhen and Tsunade, too.

It didn't take long for the two of them to arrive.

The sound of footsteps echoed through the hospital.

With Tsunade leading the way, the two of them arrived at a quiet room.

The room was spacious, and its shelves were filled with books.

"What is this place?" Yuzhen asked, following Tsunade inside and looking around at the bookshelves.

Tsunade didn't answer right away. She went to a shelf and pulled out a book.

She checked the cover to make sure she had the right one.

Then she tossed it to Yuzhen.

Whoosh—!

Smack—!

Yuzhen caught the book Tsunade had thrown.

Before he could react,

Tsunade spoke. "Your technique is indeed flawless."

"But... medical knowledge isn't just about technique."

As she spoke, Tsunade gestured to the bookshelves around them and continued proudly:

"Only when you've learned all this knowledge can you say you've achieved something in Medical Ninjutsu."

"We're a little short on time these next two days, so for now, just finish reading this book."

"Two days from now, when you go on your mission, I'll reward you based on your progress."

With that, she left the room without waiting for Yuzhen to respond.

Tsunade's intentions were simple.

She wanted to see if this Uchiha brat was a "real" Medical Genius.

If he was...

Then he'd "devour" that book within two days.

If he couldn't, it would only mean that the boy...

Was merely a genius at "techniques," and not worth her continued effort.

Uchiha Yuzhen watched Tsunade leave, still a little bewildered.

When he came back to himself, he opened the book and began to read.

"I see... a test?"

The book wasn't difficult; it covered only the basics.

He understood Tsunade's intentions. She was testing him.

He didn't particularly care about that.

For him, what mattered now

was claiming the Affix he'd gained from meeting Tsunade!
