Background
Yun Potian was summoned from the past as a youthful version of the future founder of the Misty Cloud Sect. At the time of his summoning, he appeared to be in his twenties and possessed three-star Dou Wang strength. He had not yet founded the sect and did not recognize its later history or his connection to it. 26 27
Upon arriving, he immediately bowed to Xiao Yan and addressed him as “Young Master.” Xiao Yan began calling him “Xiao Tian” to conceal his identity from Hai Bodong, who recognized Yun Potian’s name as that of the Misty Cloud Sect’s founder. 27
Yun Potian devoted himself intensely to cultivation, training continuously even when Xiao Yan was resting. His dedication impressed Xiao Yan, who attributed Yun Potian’s eventual legacy as a sect founder to his relentless discipline. 28
After reaching peak Dou Wang, Yun Potian entered seclusion at the Xiao Sect headquarters to seek a breakthrough to Dou Emperor. Later, he entered the Misty Cloud Sect’s Life and Death Gate to receive the inheritance he had left behind, eventually progressing from Dou Emperor to Dou Zun and beyond. 82 164 177
