The day after Deadpool Wade's prison break, Xiang Qian knocked on Tony Stark's door.
"Why are you carrying a rat cage?" Tony froze the moment he opened the door. "I don't do biological experiments here. I don't need lab rats."
"These lab rats are for my own use. I got something good and wanted you to help me study it." Xiang Qian said it lightly, but Tony treated it like a major threat.
"Even you can't figure it out?" Tony asked. "And you came all the way to ask me for help?"
Xiang Qian nodded.
Tony sucked in a breath. "Unbelievable. A scientific problem you admit you can't solve has actually appeared? Is the world ending?"
"Not yet. But if we manage to break through this problem, we might be able to save the world from ending."
Tony paused. "You mean the thing beneath the Indian Ocean's crust?"
"Not just that. I mean every possible apocalypse."
"Okay, you've got my attention. Take it out and let me see."
"Give me a hand while I attach it to these little guys." Xiang Qian opened the cage, fastened watch-sized time-space travel devices onto the white mice's backs, then set the cage on the test bench. "The shortest time interval is five minutes... All right, settings complete—don't blink!"
A streak of light flashed past, and the white mice vanished into thin air, leaving behind only an empty cage.
Tony frowned deeply. "Did you just use teleportation magic?"
"No, I swear! Everything that happened to the mice had nothing to do with magic. It was all purely technological."
"You turned teleportation magic into technology?"
"Come on! Was I not clear enough? Nothing that just happened had anything to do with magic. Here's another hint: this isn't about space." Xiang Qian began speaking in riddles.
