After three days of recovery, Zhao Fu's external injuries healed quickly thanks to the three Flower Fairy, but his internal injuries required a longer recovery period.
On this day, Zhao Fu changed out of his blood-stained clothes, put on a cloak, and headed north towards Nine Suns City. As for the three Flower Fairy, they flew around Zhao Fu and followed Zhao Fu. Sometimes when they got tired, the three of them would sit on Zhao Fu's shoulders to rest.
Seeing the three of them carefree and filled with joy all day long, Zhao Fu felt a little envious. Just then, they entered a dense forest.
"Zhao! Don't go any further. There's danger ahead. Let's go around it from the side," Mei Mei, who was sitting on Zhao Fu's shoulders, suddenly reminded him.
Upon hearing this, Zhao Fu stopped in his tracks, wondering, "What dangers lie ahead?"
Sitting on the other side of Zhao Fu's shoulder, Bai Bai explained calmly, "There's a ruin up ahead, filled with terrifying Goblin. We've been there before!"
"And there's a Minotaur!"
Taozi, who was sitting next to Bai Bai, wanted to speak, but she was so nervous that she blurted out. After she did, she realized that her voice was too loud and blushed, hiding next to Bai Bai.
"Remains?"
Upon hearing their words, Zhao Fu immediately became interested, because places with ruins generally offer great benefits. Now that his strength had recovered somewhat, Zhao Fu wanted to go and take a look, so he said, "You three hide in my cloak for a moment, I want to go and check it out!"
"Zhao! Be careful!"
Upon hearing this, the three Flower Fairy crawled into Zhao Fu's cloak and poked their little heads out, intending to see what Zhao Fu was up to.
Immediately, Zhao Fu used a variety of assassin skills to silently infiltrate the dense forest, and soon arrived at a clearing.
This open space only retains the remnants of a small portion of the buildings; the vast majority have vanished. The ruins are enormous, too large to be seen at a glance. At the very front of the ruins, there is a huge rock with two characters on it. Zhao Fu, of course, doesn't recognize these characters, Bai Bai tells Zhao Fu they are "Loran!"
In the Lolan Ruins, there are several types of Goblin that Zhao Fu has never seen before. The Goblin here all look fierce, and their skin is also different; some are pale, and some are grayish-black.
Some of them were holding a wooden stick, which was quite large at the front and looked like a hammer. The stick appeared to be made of a material harder than ordinary iron, and should be able to cause considerable blunt force trauma.
Another type carries a basket on its back filled with stones, which can be thrown by these Goblin. The stones are thrown with great force, enough to break the bones of some creatures. This type should be considered a ranged unit.
The last type is the Goblin wielding a sharp sword. This type of Goblin is relatively rare, but it exudes a very strong aura, surpassing even ten ordinary Goblin.
The three types of Goblin are displayed as Goblin, Throwing Goblin, and Centurion Goblin.
These Goblin weren't grouped together, but scattered in small groups on one side, with no guards or patrols, so there probably wasn't a leader.
With virtually no defensive measures in place, Zhao Fu was secretly pleased and decided to explore the ruins first before leaving.
"I want to clear out the monsters here. Why don't you three go outside and wait for a bit?"
Zhao Fu lowered his head and whispered to the three Flower Fairy that he was afraid these simple and kind creatures would be frightened if they saw his methods of killing, so he wanted them to wait outside the dense forest.
"Zhao! It's alright, we'll stay here and help you get rid of these terrible creatures," Mei Mei said, looking up at Zhao Fu with a smile. The other two nodded as well.
Seeing this, Zhao Fu had no more reservations and began to take action.
First, Zhao Fu went to a corner, intending to lure monsters in. With Zhao Fu current strength, it was impossible for him to kill indiscriminately, even in his prime. This was the outermost edge of the ruins, and who knew what terrifying creatures might be inside? So it was better to keep a low profile.
Hiding behind a large tree, Zhao Fu threw a pebble with all his might. The pebble flew out quickly, hit a rock, and made a sound that immediately attracted the attention of a small group of Goblin.
Because Zhao Fu also had Goblin under his command, he learned many languages through the Language Stele, including Goblin language, so he could understand what they were saying.
"Hey! There seems to be something over there. Should we go check it out?" said an ordinary Goblin.
Upon hearing this, another Goblin, lying on the ground, said boredly, "So what if it happens? What does it have to do with us? As long as we don't enter the ruins, it's fine. By the way, what are we having for lunch today?"
"Let's catch some Gurgle Chicken to eat today, it's been so long!" a Throwing Goblin said happily.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!"
The others, upon hearing the suggestion of Throwing Goblin and recalling the deliciousness of the Gurgle Chicken, immediately nodded in agreement.
The Goblin started talking about food, completely ignoring the strange noise, which made Zhao Fu, who was hiding behind a big tree, look a little embarrassed. Why wasn't this going according to plan?
Then, he threw another pebble, which flew quickly and hit a large tree with a dull thud.
"Hey! That strange noise is coming from over there again. Shouldn't we go check it out?" the Goblin said curiously again.
"Don't go, it's too much trouble, just leave it," a Goblin said, frowning slightly, as if annoyed by the hassle.
The other Goblin nodded in agreement, and the Goblin who had spoken earlier forgot about the matter again.
This made Zhao Fu, who was hiding behind the big tree, even more embarrassed. The three Flower Fairy on his chest covered their mouths with their hands, afraid that they would laugh out loud.
Having no other choice, Zhao Fu picked up a few more pebbles from the ground and threw them directly at the Goblin.
The pebbles flew out quickly, hitting several Goblin on the head, causing them to jump up immediately, Goblin, "Damn it! Who threw that?"
Immediately, their angry gazes turned towards Zhao Fu's direction, and then they finally picked up their weapons and stormed off, determined to tear that bastard to pieces.
Seeing that the Goblin was finally attracted, Zhao Fu breathed a slight sigh of relief.
P. S.: I'm a bit speechless after reading some of the comments. I was referring to the editor's picks, not recommendation votes. I read all the comments, but for various reasons, I can't really reply. Also, this book is about to reach 340,000 words, and there's really no other way. I plan to release it on sale the week after next. Join the group at the end!
