Volume One, Chapter Five
After some more time had passed, Yao recovered some of her strength with Zhao Fu's help and sensed the whereabouts of the final bronze fragment. Zhao Fu did not hesitate in the slightest and immediately took Yao to find it.
A few days later, Zhao Fu and Yao arrived near a small lake. Yao raised a finger and pointed at the lake. "The last bronze fragment is at the very bottom of this lake."
Zhao Fu wielded the power of origin, stretched out a hand, and pressed it toward the lake's surface. A vast force surged into the lake, plunging all the way into its depths. Several rays of light shot out from deep within the mud.
Zhao Fu clenched his hand, and that force immediately grabbed toward the depths of the mud, finally pulling out a bronze fragment.
Looking at the bronze fragment caked in mud, Zhao Fu broke into a smile. He had finally found the last bronze fragment. Now, he could repair the Chaos Origin Mirror.
Yao also smiled faintly and looked at Zhao Fu. "How do you plan to repair it?"
Zhao Fu said with a smile, "I'll refine this fragment first, then try repairing it."
Yao said, "That might be very difficult!"
Zhao Fu understood as well. This was an extremely important origin artifact of the Chaos Clan; repairing it would not be so simple. Yet no matter what, Zhao Fu still had to give it a try.
Zhao Fu sat down cross-legged on the ground. A golden origin power wrapped around the fragment, and power continuously flowed into it, causing the bronze fragment to constantly emit a powerful aura. Some of its rust began to flake away.
