Background / History
Bai Qi entered Great Qin as an SSS-aptitude Human general with absolute loyalty to Zhao Fu. The narrative identifies him as the foremost of the Four Great Generals of the Warring States period, renowned for near-unbroken victories and for killing over a million people—the basis for his God of Killing title. 3
In Great Qin Village's earliest days, he served as Zhao Fu's principal guard and field commander. He accompanied Zhao Fu on patrols, shielded him from a fireball-wielding beast, trained the village soldiers in formation and coordination, and returned to lead them once the threat of a goblin village emerged. 6 7
His personal combat ability was established early. He fought the Skeleton Swordsman at close range, decisively defeated Zhang Dahu in a duel, and later helped confront the mysterious skeleton despite needing to exert his full strength merely to block its sword strike. 15 37 77
After becoming a first-tier general, Bai Qi chose to focus on the troop type he already understood rather than develop an unfamiliar one, resulting in the formation of the Iron Eagle Elite. 99
Appearance
Bai Qi is repeatedly associated with an icy, restrained bearing and a battlefield presence that emphasizes authority rather than ornamentation. During the Xianbei campaign, he appeared in white robes with a blood-red sword at his waist. 144 2345
- Wore white robes during the campaign against the Xianbei. 144
- Carried the blood-red Seven Killings Sword. 144
- Rode a Black Forest Horse during the Xianbei battle. 144
- Later mounted a black horse whose hooves burned with green flames while leading an expedition. 2345
Personality
Bai Qi is cold, decisive, and intensely focused on military strength. When Zhao Fu was stranded in Eastern Azure, Bai Qi led Great Qin's pro-war faction, arguing that sentiment and attachments should be stripped away so the state could develop as an orderly, powerful war machine. 165
His methods conflict sharply with Li Si's moderation. Bai Qi understood that Zhao Fu did not want Great Qin turned into a “cold killing machine,” but still chose to bear the consequences of his harsher policies himself in pursuit of an inviolable Great Qin. 165
Despite his severity, Bai Qi is unwaveringly loyal to Zhao Fu. He shows a rare softness when alone with him and expresses absolute confidence that Zhao Fu can build stronger forces even after the loss of valuable troops. 768 2466
