Background

Huaxia occupies the center of the Central Continent and was formerly the hegemon of the East. Its numerous borders, historical conflicts, competing faiths, and racial divisions make it one of the most volatile regions of the Apocalypse World 34. It is surrounded by twenty-two nations, more neighboring states than any other nation mentioned 566.

It is one of the four great ancient civilizations and possesses immense historical, cultural, and fate-based foundations. Its five great ancient national inheritances are Great Xia, Great Shang, Great Zhou, Great Qin, and Great Han; these powers possess the continent's greatest concentration of Nation-Guarding Artifacts 221 575.

The Heirloom Seal of the Realm represents Huaxia's legitimate imperial authority and supreme power. Created under Qin Shi Huang's order, it embodies the destiny and authority of the Huaxia people and is a uniquely powerful Nation-Guarding Artifact 122.

History

Early Apocalypse World

As factions enter the Apocalypse World, Huaxia's aristocratic families and national inheritors establish territories and compete for influence. The Heavenly Pride Ranking places the successors of Great Xia, Great Shang, Great Zhou, and Great Han among its leading figures 12.

Border regions quickly descend into violence. Huaxia people are targeted by neighboring nations, while the system main cities along its borders become major conflict zones 34. Ancient tribal settlements—including the Xiongnu, Turks, Liao People, and Jin People—also reappear as native factions and attack Huaxia people 98.

Great Qin's Rise

Great Qin's acquisition of Huaxia destiny and the Heirloom Seal of the Realm establishes it as a major Huaxia power 122. Its black-gold dragon fortune is associated with slaughter and conquest, contrasting with the fortunes of Great Xia, Great Shang, Great Zhou, and Great Han 63.

Huaxia's leading factions repeatedly regard Great Qin with concern. During the Undead Catastrophe crisis, the authorities, Clans, and other top factions attempt to persuade the Great Qin Imperial Prince through Zhao Fu, his real-world representative 442.

Great Qin later declines to separate itself from Huaxia despite becoming an independent clan, citing its shared history, culture, bloodline, and the protection it received from Huaxia fate 700.

Great Transfer of Destiny

After Huaxia's dynasties heavily wound Great Qin and exhaust much of its fate, a great transfer of destiny leaves Huaxia vulnerable. Foreigners receive fivefold rewards and doubled fate for killing Huaxia people, creating a major incentive for invasion 566.

Huaxia is attacked from several directions:

• South — Great Russia, Mongol State, and Kazakh State invade; Oleg leads more than ten million Great Russian players into Huaxia territory 569.
• East — Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Joseon Kingdom attack border regions 572 574.
• West — Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh invade; India alone mobilizes more than thirty million people 575.

Huaxia eventually organizes a counterattack through its factions, dynasties, schools, and ordinary people. Great Han, Great Qing, and Great Tang later cooperate to halt India's advance, though Huaxia cannot reclaim its lost border regions 576 579.

Conflict with Great Qin

Great Qin initially refuses to join Huaxia's resistance against India, intending to let its rivals weaken one another despite Zhao Fu acknowledging himself as a Huaxia person 575. It later intervenes against Great India Kingdom and gains support from Huaxia clans and the Hundred Schools of Thought 609 610.

Relations deteriorate as Great Qin expands. Great Qin uses six foreign nations under its control to attack eastern Huaxia, conquering three-quarters of the eastern region 947.

When Great Qin attempts to refine the Heirloom Seal of the Realm into its own Fate Clan Artifact, Huaxia's people, dynasties, factions, and sects unite in resistance. The first attempt fails when the seal resists Great Qin's will 975 976.

Great Qin succeeds in a subsequent refinement. The Heirloom Seal's aura becomes occupied by Great Qin's fate, strengthening Great Qin citizens while Huaxia people suffer bloodline-deep weakening 977.

Conquest and Unification

With Huaxia weakened by the loss of its Fate Clan Artifact, Great Qin mobilizes a billion-strong army to conquer the remaining Huaxia territories 978. Great Qin completes Huaxia's first grand unification before continuing into surrounding states across the Central Continent 980.

Following the conquest, Great Qin becomes Huaxia's sole successor. Many former Huaxia factions flee to other continents, while the Buddhist, Confucian, and Mohist Schools are designated forbidden faiths within Great Qin 981.
