Ch. 1603Seventh Prince

Zhao Fu rescued the Tigerfolk Seventh Prince from assassins and agreed to help him seize the throne in exchange for ancestral items and things related to deities. The prince returned with Zhao Fu and Hu Min to the royal city, where he reunited with his mother and declared his intention to compete for the throne.

  • Hu Min explained that the Tigerfolk ruler was near death and the princes were killing one another to claim the throne, so Zhao Fu agreed to help the Seventh Prince in return for valuable items.
  • Zhao Fu killed the assassins pursuing the Seventh Prince and offered to support his bid for the throne; the prince accepted Zhao Fu's terms.
  • The Seventh Prince noticed Hu Min's relationship with Zhao Fu, but set aside his feelings and welcomed her concern for him.
  • Zhao Fu paid the innkeeper for the damage and left with the others under cover of night, reaching the royal city.
  • The Seventh Prince reunited with his mother, rejected her plea to withdraw from the succession, and told her Zhao Fu would help him claim the throne.

Ch. 1604Tiger Kingdom

Zhao Fu learned about the Seventh Prince’s weak position in the Tigerfolk Kingdom’s succession struggle and agreed to help after Hu Linger and Hu Wangchan drew him into an intimate alliance. He planned to eliminate the rival princes and promised the two women he would handle the dangers of the royal city.

  • Hu Wangchan arrived, and Hu Linger introduced Zhao Fu as an expert helping the Seventh Prince claim the throne.
  • After the Seventh Prince left to see the king, Hu Wangchan told Zhao Fu that his faction controlled less than ten percent of the kingdom’s forces while three rival princes held twenty percent each.
  • Zhao Fu said the effort might not be worth his help, so Hu Linger sent Hu Wangchan away and offered herself to secure his support.
  • Hu Wangchan returned, joined Zhao Fu and Hu Linger, and the three later discussed how to help the Seventh Prince.
  • Zhao Fu proposed killing the rival princes, and he assured Hu Wangchan and Hu Linger that he could handle their guards, the royal city, and the fate dragon.

Ch. 1605The Throne

Zhao Fu infiltrated the Tigerfolk royal palace and seized control of the succession by killing the ruler and three rival princes. With Hu Baibai’s help, he declared the Seventh Prince heir, and the other factions submitted to him.

  • The Seventh Prince returned from meeting the ruler and told Hu Linger and Hu Wangchan that he had been ordered to give up his claim to the throne.
  • Hu Linger and Hu Wangchan asked Zhao Fu for help, and he agreed to resolve the succession dispute.
  • Unable to infiltrate the ruler’s guarded bedchamber, Zhao Fu followed the grieving empress, Hu Baibai, and persuaded her to help him after forcing himself on her.
  • Hu Baibai dismissed the guards, allowing Zhao Fu to enter the bedchamber, kill the dying ruler, and summon and kill the three rival princes using the ruler’s orders.
  • Zhao Fu issued military transfers and worked with Hu Baibai to forge an edict naming the Seventh Prince heir, after which the other factions pledged loyalty to him.

Ch. 1606Otherworld Region

Zhao Fu acquired the Tigerfolk Kingdom’s ancestral item, then traveled with his companions to the Otherworld Region. There he saved a Ratfolk girl’s sick mother and asked to speak with her alone, leaving the woman embarrassed by his possessive gaze.

  • The Seventh Prince became king, and Hu Linger and Hu Wangchan secretly left with Zhao Fu after he obtained and fused the Tigerfolk ancestral amber.
  • Zhao Fu and his companions arrived in the Otherworld Region, where he noticed a Ratfolk girl begging for money to treat her mother.

  • After giving the girl fruit and sending her outside, Zhao Fu turned his attention to her mother, who blushed under his gaze.

Ch. 1607Ratfolk

Zhao Fu took Mouse Su and her daughter Mouse Ming away from their difficult life and helped Mouse Su discover that her husband, Mouse Chang, had abandoned them for wealth. He brought Mouse Su to confront Mouse Chang and planned to pursue the Rat Spirit Jade, which could help him awaken the Ratfolk Totem.

  • An elderly Ratfolk revealed that Mouse Chang had married into a wealthy family and abandoned Mouse Su and Mouse Ming.
  • Zhao Fu learned that Mouse Chang's new family possessed the Rat Spirit Jade, a treasure he wanted for awakening the Ratfolk Totem.

Ch. 1608Family

Zhao Fu forced Mouse Chang to help him steal the Rat Spirit Jade from a powerful family, then infiltrated the family and coerced its female head and her daughter into cooperating. The family head agreed to hand over the treasure if Zhao Fu obtained the remaining two keys, and her daughter offered to help him approach the next keyholder.

  • Zhao Fu warned Mouse Chang to help steal the Rat Spirit Jade, and Mouse Chang explained that three keys were needed to open the family's secret chamber.
  • Zhao Fu infiltrated the family head's room and discovered the family head and her daughter together.
  • Zhao Fu revealed himself and used their secret to gain leverage over the mother and daughter.
  • Zhao Fu told them he wanted the Rat Spirit Jade and used his power and bodily restrictions to force their cooperation.
  • The family head agreed to give him the jade if he obtained the other two keys and promised not to harm the family.
  • The daughter said her aunt held the second key and offered to help Zhao Fu approach her.

Ch. 1609Rat Spirit Jade

Ch. 1610Bloodline Curse

  • Zhao Fu absorbed the Rat Spirit Jade, gained an azure Ratfolk totem on his back, and continued traveling with his group.
  • Zhao Fu arrived in the Elephantfolk Kingdom and followed a crowd to an altar where elephantfolk prayed for their cursed young prince.
  • An elephantfolk priest summoned the Elephant God, who used divine power to try to drive the curse from the prince.
  • The curse surged out as a blood-colored hand, and the Elephant God stopped its attempt, warning that forcing out the curse could kill the prince.
  • The Elephant God told the elephantfolk ruler that an Imperial Son with an exceptionally high-grade bloodline might be able to remove the curse.

Ch. 1611Elephantfolk

The Elephantfolk grieved over the young prince’s incurable bloodline curse until Zhao Fu stepped forward and used his Saint power to remove it. The Elephantfolk King thanked Zhao Fu and invited him to a grand feast.

  • Elephant God vanished, leaving the Elephantfolk to pray helplessly for the suffering young prince.
  • The Elephantfolk King decided to seek an imperial heir to lift the curse, or else accept the evil god’s offer.
  • Zhao Fu offered to help, and the Elephantfolk King invited him to the altar despite doubts about his cultivation.

  • Zhao Fu asked the captured Rhinocerosfolk where they came from.

Ch. 1613Corpse Lake

Zhao Fu investigated Rhinoceros Lake and discovered its power could awaken a Rhinocerosfolk totem. He slaughtered the lake’s residents and the population of Rhinocerosfolk City, absorbed the lake’s power, and gained a blood-colored Rhinocerosfolk totem.

  • Several Rhinocerosfolk told Zhao Fu about Rhinoceros Lake, and he made them take him there.
  • Zhao Fu found the lake’s power too weak to awaken a totem, then killed a Rhinocerosfolk woman and her child when they challenged him.
  • Zhao Fu used chains to kill Rhinocerosfolk around the lake, causing its power to grow, and sent the surviving guides away to save their families.
  • Zhao Fu entered Rhinocerosfolk City and, with fifty thousand Dark Soldiers, slaughtered its inhabitants and threw their corpses into the lake.

  • Zhao Fu left Lu Yu with his group and went with her to the prince’s residence, where the prince surrounded them with soldiers and demanded that Zhao Fu leave.
  • Lu Yu defended Zhao Fu and revealed that she had already given herself to him, prompting the prince to order his soldiers to kill Zhao Fu and seize her.
  • A mature woman tried to stop the confrontation, but the prince ordered the soldiers to attack; Zhao Fu’s aura halted them, and he sent them flying with a wave.

The chieftain agreed to hand over the tribe’s ancestral item, while Zhao Fu planned to obtain the Eaglefolk Tribe’s ancestral item as well.

  • Zhao Fu bound the five Winged People men and five Eaglefolk women, beat the Winged People young master, and forced the women to serve him while he questioned them.

  • Zhao Fu demanded ancestral treasures from the families of four captured Featherfolk youths and spared them instead of killing them.
  • When the Featherfolk women brought only one ancestral treasure, Zhao Fu assaulted them and then compelled the Featherfolk chief to serve him as well.
  • Zhao Fu showed the women their sons, took the Featherfolk Spirit Crystal and a Dwarf ancestor's remnant soul, and removed the youths' chains.

Ch. 1621Statues

Zhao Fu left his group and headed alone to the Otherworld Ten Academies, where statues at the gates revealed the prodigies gathered for the assessment. As more statues blazed with purple-gold light, their combined pressure drove nearly everyone away from the entrance.

  • Zhao Fu settled his group, cut off contact with them for safety, and traveled alone to the Otherworld Ten Academies after gathering information about its assessment.
