He, too, slipped into the void, and in an instant his entire figure merged into a cluster of clear qi. It was a mirror, its surface rippling with streams of grayish-white light. He passed through it and slowly entered the grand formation generated by the Jade Ji Immortal Mirror.
"I truly hadn't expected the imperial court to make such a grand move—to seize the Sibi Sect's White Bone Divine Ark..."
The news secretly delighted him.
For a long time, the Bone Path had stood shoulder to shoulder with another "path," the Nether Luo Path, and was regarded as an exceedingly perilous place in the cultivation world.
There were also many legends surrounding the Bone Path, but its origins could no longer be verified. The only thing known for certain was that countless ancient, dust-rotted corpses remained there. Some had belonged to powerful fiends and demons, while others were the bones of humans or wild beasts.
There was another saying in the cultivation world: that both the Bone Path and the Nether Luo Path had once been the Underworld of ancient times, a burial ground where all spirits returned.
Daoist scriptures also recorded an era known as the "Nether Antiquity," when fierce ghosts swarmed the earth and demons ran rampant.
