Great You was founded by the First You Emperor, whose existence fundamentally altered the world’s original timeline. According to Luan Sheng Heavenly King, neither the dynasty nor its emperor existed in the original history; the You Emperor distorted time and rewrote the course of events. 307

The dynasty’s rise forced the Three Primordial Dao Gates—Xuantian Temple, Wanqing Sect, and Chongyang Palace—to withdraw from Great You’s territory. These otherwise unrestrained sects were said to fear the Earth Immortal-like power housed within Great You’s Imperial Mausoleum. 141

The First You Emperor’s presence remained the dynasty’s ultimate deterrent. Manifestation God experts and major sect leaders concealed themselves in remote spacetimes or avoided Great You entirely, fearing that once noticed by him, even heaven-reaching cultivation would not protect them. 443

Consolidation of the realm

The court transformed Nanling Circuit from a frontier regarded as inaccessible wilderness into a fortified region. Under the First You Emperor’s plans, Great You established hundreds of cities within a decade, then spent decades relocating people, constructing defenses, and extending its southern frontier beyond the Hengling Mountains. 252

Yujing City, the capital, became the largest and most prosperous city in Great You. Its nine canals and expanded waterways linked trade from across the realm, while its immense outer walls were reinforced with molten iron and concealed rune formations. 340

Great You’s power was maintained through both civil administration and specialized agencies. The Evil-Slaying Bureau pursued hostile cultivators and maintained networks of trained intelligence agents, while the Blood Law Bureau wielded extensive judicial authority under the Fourth Prince, You Yao Xi. 368 660

Dragon Extinguisher Plan

The First You Emperor created the Dragon Extinguisher Plan to reduce the Heavenly Dao’s influence over Great You and provide humanity with a stable foundation against future threats. Its central creation, the Dragon Extinguisher Dao Artifact, was forged from the White Bone Divine Ark, the Corpse Sea Palace, and vast quantities of rare materials accumulated by the court. 558 761

The plan’s next stage was to link Divine Travel Altars into the Web Path and draw Great You’s territories into that network. This would weaken the Source of Heavenly Dao’s control over the Five Paths and Eight Wastelands while strengthening Great You’s ability to shape its own future. 761 771

The Artifact’s spirit, the Child of the Dao Artifact, was deliberately designed without human emotional flaws. It could calculate without fatigue or error, observe past and future developments, and execute rewards and punishments according to fixed rules. 819 1056

Expansion into the Western Continent

Five years after He Ping returned from another era, Great You had expanded across the Western Continent. Li Chihai and Tuo Longjia recovered several provinces from the Ten Thousand Spirits Sect, while Dai Li'er of the Sacred Dance Sect joined Great You’s side. 1040

During this period, disasters within Great You diminished, seasonal weather stabilized, and its dragon veins and earth energies were repeatedly ordered. The stalemate between the You Emperor and the Source of Heavenly Dao prevented either side from fully dominating the world. 1040
