The two even sat down and began chatting. They could reach a partnership because cooperation would bring greater benefits to them both.

The demonic spirit was merely the remnant will of the Overlord of Dasheng. Though nine fragments of its soul had merged as one and it had used the black tower to condense a false body, it was ultimately only a "tool" and "medium" created to achieve a goal.
