First Entering the Underworld
The identities of the two Zhenyu Kings were far from simple. The elephant ancestor, "Mighty Heaven Great Sage," ranked fourth among the Seven Sky-Deluding Saints. The Six-Tusk Copperhide Demon Elephant Clan under his command had once been a powerful race on par with the Earth Wyrm Clan, renowned throughout the Abyssal Realm.
The Copperhide Demon Elephant Clan was born with boundless strength, hides of copper and bones of iron, impervious to blades and spears. They also possessed all manner of innate divine abilities.
Back then, when the Buddha's most outstanding disciple, "Great Vow Sea Bodhisattva," ventured deep into the spacetime of the Abyssal Realm and encountered the siege of the Copperhide Demon Elephant Clan, he attuned his heart to the Samadhi of Great Compassion. With the immense might of his wisdom and divine powers, he stirred up fierce winds of wisdom and fires of insight, subduing an old yellow-tusked elephant and taking it in as his guardian.
That old yellow-tusked elephant had been an elder of the elephant ancestor's clan, possessing exceptionally profound magical power. Yet he was converted by Great Vow Sea Bodhisattva and willingly became the Bodhisattva's mount. This matter was also recorded in the scriptures passed down through generations of the Buddhist sect.
At the height of its prosperity, the Copperhide Demon Elephant Clan wielded immense influence, no less than the Flood Dragon Demon Clan ruled by the Flood Dragon Demon Great Sage.
Unfortunately, after a great war between the two sides, the Copperhide Demon Elephant Clan suffered grievous losses and had no choice but to shrink its sphere of influence. This allowed the Great Strength Bull Demon Clan, as well as the Demon Macaque Clan led by the Six-Eared Great Sage, to rise to prominence.
