(This prequel to Yaming was written at the request of a fan of Yaming and will probably be finished in 3–5 chapters.)
"Lin, you're not going back today." A gentle female voice.
"No, Mom. I already made plans with someone. Just let me stay over there and have fun for half a year." Lin nestled against her mother, acting coy.
Her mother couldn't resist Lin's pleading, so she nodded. She took a thick stack of money from her handbag and said, "Have Uncle An take you there. Don't let your father find out."
Lin grinned as she took the money, scrambled up from her mother's lap, and ran outside the room, shouting, "Uncle An! Uncle An! Let's go! Mom said yes!"
An hour later, Lin was at the airport, sorting through her luggage. She had clearly been in too much of a hurry and had left behind a lot of things, but there was no way she could go back for them now.
Uncle An was a very kind middle-aged man who had worked for the Lin family for twenty years. This time, his job was to safely escort Lin to the home in China, where another housekeeper would protect her.
Standing beside her luggage, Lin spoke to Uncle An, who was looking around. "Uncle An, are you taking me to Aunt Liu's place? I can go by myself, really. It's not like I've never been there."
Uncle An smiled at Lin. "This is your mother's order. You have to obey it, Miss Lin."
Lin grinned and stuck out her tongue, then said nothing more.
On the plane, Uncle An sat beside Lin, drinking coffee. He quietly watched the girl who had fallen asleep against his shoulder—the girl he had cared for since she was little...
Uncle An drifted into thought. He didn't notice that Lin, whom he had been watching, had woken up. Lin smiled at him and asked, "What's wrong, Uncle An? Is there something on my face?" Uncle An was so startled that he
nearly spilled his coffee.
Embarrassed, Uncle An drained his coffee in one gulp and said, "It's nothing. I was just thinking about when you were little. I can't believe thirteen years have gone by in the blink of an eye. The wild little girl has turned into a pampered princess. Ha ha."
Lin smiled without saying anything. Her father was away for work most of the time, and her mother had to look after the family business. Uncle An was the one who had taken care of her since childhood. Whenever something upset her, she used to run to him and cry...
The two fell silent for a while. In the end, Lin asked, "Uncle An, why won't Dad let me go back to China now? Portugal is so boring. Everyone's in China, after all."
Uncle An sighed. "I don't know the details, either. It seems someone wants to come after our family. But don't worry. The people living near where you'll be staying are all our allies, so there's no need to worry about that. I might even stay there myself."
Lin happily linked her arm through Uncle An's. "Great, great! I'll feel safe if you stay there. Ha ha, then I can have fun again."
Meanwhile, in the Lin family's meeting room in Portugal.
Lin's mother and father were there, along with a young man.
Her father asked in a stiff tone, "Has that foolish girl, Lin, left already?"
Her mother answered gently, "Yes. Xiao An took her. She won't be back for about half a year."
Her father closed his eyes and said heavily, "She isn't coming back. You don't need to think about her anymore!"
Her mother cried out in shock, "Why? What are you going to do? Didn't you say it was enough to get her out of Portugal? She's your daughter! Yu Qiuhua, what are you planning?"
Yu Qiuhua remained calm. He glanced at the young man standing beside him and said, "When the time comes, the Yu family can be handed over to Qiuxuan. As for Lin, I've given her to the head of the Ou family." After hearing Yu Qiuhua's words,
his wife rose in fury. "You beast! You'll get what's coming to you, and so will the Ou family! Give me back my daughter! Yu Qiuhua! You beast!"
Yu Qiuhua ignored his furious wife and continued, "The reason the Ou family agreed to work with us is Lin. Don't worry. She'll only suffer for a little while..."
The young man spoke up then. "Why choose Lin and not me?"
Yu Qiuhua stood and stroked the young man's hair. "You fool. You're my son. How could I let you suffer?"
The young man nodded, as if he understood.
A day later, somewhere in Hunan, China.
Lin was on the phone with a friend.
"I'm back. Let's meet up tonight."
"Yeah, yeah! You're finally back. Are you feeling okay?"
"Great. Nothing wrong at all. I can have a good time."
"Okay, then. Did you bring anything back for me?"
"No, sorry. I'll bring you something next time for sure."
"Never mind. I'm really looking forward to tonight. You just got off the plane, so go rest for a bit."
"Okay, I'll go take a shower."
"Sure. See you then."
"See you."
Lin hung up first and began changing so she could take a shower.
At the same time, in another room.
The person who had hung up said nervously, "She said it's the worst-case scenario. She doesn't have a single helper, and they're about to take her away. Should we still go ahead with the plan?"
The person lying on the bed said, "Don't panic. Ye Zi, go notify the people watching the Ou family. If they spot Lin, have them forcefully rescue her. Everyone else should stick to the original plan. Is everything ready? The next twenty-four hours will decide whether we can save Lin."
Everyone in the room nodded...
Half an hour later, in Lin's room, she had just finished showering and getting dressed. Now she had to recalculate her original plan. To prevent anything from going wrong, even if she still failed in the end, she couldn't let the others be exposed. That way, even if she died, they could still find a way to avenge her...
"Lin, are you done?" Uncle An knocked.
Lin tidied her hair a little and said, "Yes, come in."
Uncle An walked in slowly, holding a glass of Lin's favorite grape juice. When Lin saw it, she silently thought, Then let's begin. What is it that can overcome everything? I won't regret this. Even if I die, I'll leave the rest to you...
Lin took the grape juice and smiled at Uncle An. "Uncle An, you're still the best to me. You know this is my favorite..."
One minute later, Lin fell asleep.
Five minutes later, Lin was taken to a secret location.
Twenty minutes later, Lin was moved to another location.
Forty minutes later, Lin was moved for the third time.
An hour and a half later, Lin was moved to her final location.
Two and a half hours later, Lin woke up...
"Report. The target has been moved and is now heading to Location B. Personnel at Location B, stand by."
"Report. The target is staying at Location B."
"Report. The target is on the move again. The planned destination is Location E."
"Wait. Team One, follow her. Team Two, stay here!"
"Understood. Team Two will continue observing."
"Teams Four, Five, and Six, remain at the target's location. Team Three, clear Locations C and D."
"Understood. We'll complete the mission immediately."
"Report. The target has appeared at Location B again. Estimated destination: Location F."
"Good. Team Two, follow her. The reserve team, clear Location B."
"Report. The target is staying at Location E. The target person hasn't been spotted!"
"Just as expected. Team One, continue monitoring Location E. Reserve team, report in."
"Reserve team reporting. Location B has been cleared. Awaiting orders."
"Good. Reserve team, head to Location E and clear it immediately."
"Report. Locations C and D have been cleared."
"Teams Four, Five, and Six, proceed to Locations J, K, and L and await orders."
"Understood."
"Report. The target has arrived at Location F. Target person confirmed."
"Team One, head to Location F immediately."
"Understood."
"Report. Team One has arrived at Location F."
"Report. Team Four has arrived at the assigned location."
"Report. Team Five has arrived at the assigned location."
"Report. Team Six has arrived at the assigned location."
"Good. Continue monitoring the target's movements."
"Report. The target has been moved. Estimated destination: Location K."
"Team One, follow her. Team Two, remain on standby. Team Three, take the long route to Location V. Teams Four and Six, clear the target's location in twenty minutes, then proceed to Location V."
"Understood."
"Report. Location E has been cleared."
"Reserve team, report to headquarters. Team Five, proceed to Location M."
"Understood."
"Report. The target has arrived at Location K. Target person confirmed."
"Good. Team Two, clear Location F. Once finished, proceed to Location K."
"Report. The reserve team is expected to arrive at headquarters shortly."
"All teams, proceed according to the original plan. Report any unexpected developments immediately."
"Understood."
The boy lying on the bed sighed and said to the others beside him, "That's the end of it. Let's go."
At another location, Lin was strapped to a chair. She was completely exposed, her perfectly developed figure revealed to a man's eyes. That man was Ou Luo, the head of the Ou family—a psychopath with perverted tastes.
"Mm... where am I?" Lin's first words as she woke up.
"Welcome, Miss Lin, my darling. You're on a mysterious stage. Soon, you'll offer everything to me." Ou Luo's voice was sinister and disgusting, jolting Lin fully awake.
Lin tried moving every part of her body and glanced around. Then she said calmly, "So that's how it is. Uncle An abandoned me, too."
Ou Luo walked over to Lin and squatted down in front of her, laughing. "Ha ha! How does it feel to be abandoned, Miss Lin? You want to cry, don't you? Then cry out loud!"
Lin glared at Ou Luo and said calmly, "Uncle Ou Luo, how about we make a deal?" She sounded perfectly calm, and it didn't seem forced at all.
Ou Luo looked surprised, then said excitedly, "What kind of deal? Tell your uncle!"
Lin managed to force a smile. "I heard that Uncle Ou Luo likes torturing little girls while they cry and scream, then violating them. So I want you to torture me. But if I don't scream or cry, I hope you'll keep torturing me. Don't violate me until I scream or cry. How about it?"
Ou Luo was stunned when he heard Lin's words. He stood up and laughed loudly. "Ha ha ha! I never would've guessed! Yu Qiuhua, you gave up someone so talented! Ha ha! Miss Lin, I accept. Let's see how many minutes you can last..."
Lin clenched her teeth. Soon, she would face the most terrifying time of her life...
