Shōji killed Madara at his request, erased Black Zetsu, and returned to find the allied forces defeated by Iwagakure. After promising Hashirama to show Tsunade mercy if she did not oppose him, Shōji destroyed Hashirama’s Impure World body and sent his soul back to the Pure Land.
Shōji defeated the remaining enemies and took control of the battlefield, killing Obito and sentencing Orochimaru to life in prison. He spared Hiashi and Shikaku and sent them back to Konoha to prepare the clans to submit, while Danzo remained in his custody.
Shōji secured key sites in Konohagakure and confronted Sarutobi Hiruzen, Danzo, and the village’s other leaders over their responsibility for Konoha’s ruin and the Uchiha Clan’s suffering. He announced that Hiruzen, Mitokado Homura, and Utatane Koharu would be exposed before the villagers and publicly executed, leaving them horrified.
Shōji destroyed the Hokage Rock, declared Konohagakure officially defeated, and began punishing its leaders while sparing Tsunade. He then met Hagoromo Otsutsuki, who said he had come to learn what kind of world Shōji would build.
After receiving Hagoromo’s legacy and promising to improve the world, Shōji led Iwagakure to defeat the allied forces and bring most nations under its rule. With Kirigakure isolated, Genji chose unconditional surrender, and Shōji considered how to treat the village.
Shōji completed the Shinobi World’s substantive unification, began reorganizing its villages and political order, and exposed the crimes of Konoha’s former leaders. He publicly executed Sarutobi Hiruzen, Shimura Danzō, Mitokado Homura, and Utatane Koharu, declaring that a new world would begin.
The author reflected on the novel’s performance, explained why its ending was rushed, and discussed how the story’s direction changed from the original plan. The author planned to rest and release a new book by Teachers’ Day.
