As the Extreme Cold Ice Eagle came roaring toward them, Lin Tian immediately drew the Ganjiang Sword and slashed at its body.

A sharp flash of cold light streaked past, severing both of the Extreme Cold Ice Eagle's talons. It let out a mournful cry before crashing heavily to the ground, its scarlet blood spreading across the ice.

The Extreme Cold Ice Eagle beat its icy wings, trying to fly back into the sky, but Lin Tian wasn't about to give it the chance.

Two more sword strikes flew out in quick succession, cutting off its icy wings. Its massive body crashed onto the ice, clearly unable to escape now.

Shui Lanlan also withdrew her Soul Power and walked over, her expression grave.

This naughty little brother had held her hand, and now he was making fun of her.

"What are you two doing?! I used up most of my Soul Power just to lure this Extreme Cold Ice Eagle here. Hurry up and get your Soul Ring! Why are you putting on a romantic drama?"

Teacher Shui Lanlan wasn't actually complaining. She had just seen Shui Bing'er and Lin Tian having such a good time that she couldn't resist joining in on the fun.

Besides, Lin Tian's identity was a mystery. Without being absolutely certain, she wouldn't dare complain.

"Bing'er, go ahead."

As she spoke, Shui Lanlan handed Shui Bing'er a dagger, signaling her to step forward and kill the Extreme Cold Ice Eagle.

This time, Shui Bing'er didn't hesitate. She took the dagger in both hands, drew a couple of deep breaths, then brought it down in one decisive thrust, stabbing the Extreme Cold Ice Eagle with its utterly despairing expression.

Immediately afterward, a purple Soul Ring rose into the air.

Shui Bing'er sat down cross-legged and began absorbing the Extreme Cold Ice Eagle's Soul Ring.

An hour later, Shui Bing'er opened her eyes, light shimmering in them.

"Teacher Shui, Little Brother Lin Tian, I've finished absorbing the Soul Ring."

Lin Tian smiled and nodded.

Beside him, Shui Lanlan asked eagerly:

"Bing'er, what's your third Soul Skill?"

Shui Bing'er stood up and pointed her palm toward a nearby tree. "Third Soul Skill: Ice Bird—Explosive Beak."

The Extreme Cold Ice Eagle's phantom took shape and lunged at the tree, instantly blasting it to smithereens.

Not bad!

Shui Lanlan nodded.

"This is a very good Soul Skill. It retains the Ice Seal effect while adding an explosive effect on top. It's much stronger than the Soul Skills of others your age."

"As expected of a talented Soul Master from Skywater Academy. You have a bright future ahead of you."

But Shui Lanlan knew that although Shui Bing'er's Soul Skill was powerful, it still fell short of Lin Tian's.

His identity was a mystery, and so were his methods. He couldn't be judged by ordinary standards.

Night fell, and a bonfire blazed inside the cave.

After hunting the Soul Beast, Shui Bing'er and her teacher had planned to return to Skywater Academy. But Teacher Shui Lanlan had used up too much Soul Power, and the two decided to spend the night in the Star Dou Forest rather than risk anything happening on the way back.

They would set off again tomorrow, once their Soul Power had recovered.

"Lin Tian, would you mind telling us a little about yourself? Of course, if you don't want to, you don't have to."

Teacher Shui Lanlan sat beside the bonfire, gathering Soul Power. Across from her, Shui Bing'er rested her chin in both hands, gazing at Lin Tian with curiosity.

After spending the whole day with him, Shui Bing'er was full of curiosity about this handsome little brother.
