"But what if it was those eyes?"
Looking at Itachi ahead, Orochimaru's gaze fell upon those crimson eyes.
A sharp glint flashed through his pale pupils as a bold idea arose in Orochimaru's mind.
In his view, since Itachi could use the Sharingan to summon the Totsuka Blade, that meant, from another perspective, that the Totsuka Blade resided within Itachi's eyes.
Orochimaru believed that since Itachi could use those eyes to summon the Totsuka Blade, perhaps someone else who obtained those eyes could likewise control the Totsuka Blade.
At that thought, a cold gleam flickered in Orochimaru's eyes. His body tensed slightly as he prepared to launch a fierce attack on Itachi ahead.
"Urgh!"
But at that moment, he suddenly felt a violent pain in his head. A powerful wave of dizziness swept over him, and he felt as though he could collapse at any moment.
"Tsukuyomi!"
Itachi softly uttered two words. His body visibly began to sway, while fresh blood once again covered the bloodstains on his face that had yet to dry.
This time, Itachi had truly reached his limit. The Tsukuyomi just now had nearly exhausted all of his ocular power.
Although he had temporarily stalled Orochimaru, Itachi knew that even Tsukuyomi would struggle to hold him for long. He could clearly sense that he had not pulled the other man's consciousness into the Tsukuyomi realm.
Itachi was not surprised by this. After all, Orochimaru was a Kage-transcending powerhouse. It was hardly strange for him to withstand Tsukuyomi.
As Orochimaru briefly lost consciousness, the Third Raikage's body also paused in place after losing control.
Itachi did not hesitate. Forcing himself onward, he quickly moved to the side. He knew he had to leave as soon as possible; otherwise, once Orochimaru regained consciousness, escape would become difficult.
Whoosh!
