Background / History

Chiba transmigrated into the ninja world in Konoha Year 36 as a newborn. His adult memories were sealed by his infant body’s self-preservation instinct, leaving him to grow up as an apparently ordinary Konoha orphan and later attend the Ninja Academy. At sixteen, the God-Tier Sign-In System awakened, restored his past-life memories, and began granting him annual rewards. 1

Although records listed his parents as low-ranking civilian ninja killed during a B-rank mission, bloodline purification revealed a dormant trace of Senju ancestry. The purification restored that heritage to an ancestral state, awakening Wood Style and the Primary Sage Body. 2 7

Chiba immediately recognized that Konoha’s leadership would regard a civilian-born Wood Style user as an asset, weapon, or experimental subject. He used a C-rank herb-escort mission as cover to leave the village, traveled to Tanzaku Street, and sought out Tsunade as the only publicly known Senju descendant capable of protecting him. 3 5

After proving his identity with Wood Style, Chiba gave Tsunade the ten million ryo he had won from her at the casino in exchange for protection.
