A Few Thoughts

I felt a little melancholy, and a little uneasy... It was finished. I let out a long sigh of relief, yet I didn't know what I was feeling inside.

To be honest, based on this book's main plot, setting, and all the groundwork laid early on, it should have gone on for at least three million words. Ending it now probably counts as a rushed, unfinished ending, huh... Sigh...

But... over one year and three months, I wrote 2.1 million words. My updates in July really were terrible. Over the entire year since it went premium, this book had fewer than four months in which I managed perfect attendance... I hadn't received the full-attendance bonus for more than half a year. I'm ashamed.

There was nothing I could do in July, either. I started this book during the second half of my senior year. During the day, I had to prepare my thesis and deal with graduation-related matters; at night, someone in my dorm was studying for the graduate entrance exams and needed to review. So back then, I spent all night in internet cafés writing and updating, for a full half year. As a result, my already poor health was completely dragged down during that time.

In June last year, at the beginning of the first month after it went premium, I ended up flat on my back in the hospital. After that, July's major and minor illnesses piled up into a whole heap. Especially since 2013—one could tell just by looking at the updates. My eyes are full of blood and tears.

To be honest, Heavenly Tribulation brought July a very considerable income. My total monthly earnings were at least thirty thousand, and I truly didn't want to end it in such a muddled way.
