As Liuxia and Nawaki neared the forest engulfed in flames, the roar of battle pierced the fire and smoke and reached their ears. They knew it was a sign that Senior Sakumo and the Sunagakure ninja were locked in fierce combat.
"It's the captain and the others!" A sense of urgency flashed in Nawaki's eyes. He knew they had to act fast. Without hesitation, he took a deep breath and unleashed a powerful Water Release Ninjutsu. "Water Release: Great Waterfall Jutsu!"
A massive torrent burst from Nawaki's mouth, surging like a waterfall and sweeping through the surrounding flames. The clash of water and fire produced thick clouds of steam, snuffing out the smoke and sparks alike.
Once Nawaki's Water Release Jutsu had finally suppressed the flames, the battlefield was laid bare. A scene of desolation and destruction unfolded before Liuxia and Nawaki. The once-dense forest had become a charred plain, and the surrounding trees had either been uprooted or burned to cinders.
Broken ninja tools littered the ground, their fragments reflecting faint glimmers of light against the scorched earth, as if recounting their former glory and the brutality of the battle. Furrows left by jutsu ran across the entire battlefield.
