Two years later, the Land of Rain battlefield.
"Run, run away! It's the White Yasha!"
"Damn it, this guy is nothing but a demon!"
"Is this the legendary future God of Shinobi? Is this the kind of power a ninja can possess?"
Screams from the Rain Ninja echoed incessantly across the battlefield.
A white-haired figure dressed in a black tight-fitting combat suit, layered with red armor plates and carrying a large scroll on his back, danced wantonly through the fray.
He was using nothing but taijutsu, yet not a single soul on the battlefield could stand against him.
One moment the Rain Ninja would catch sight of his figure, and the next, they would be sent flying backward over the heads of the crowd.
"Yashas are demons, you know. I'm so handsome and dashing—calling me a demon just shows how little you've seen of the world."
Senju Genma stepped on the head of a Rain Ninja and curled his lip in annoyance.
By now, Senju Genma had changed significantly from two years ago.
He had grown rapidly, his physique approaching that of an adult. At 1.6 meters tall, he was only a head shorter than Tsunade. Though his face still held a hint of youth, he was already capable of doing many things adults could.
"As expected of Lord Genma, he's truly incredible! White Yasha!"
"White Yasha!"
"White Yasha!"
At the edge of the battlefield, the Konoha ninja accepted the title even faster than Senju Genma himself, cheering the name of the White Yasha with excitement.
To them, this was a validation of their village hero's strength.
Senju Genma was dumbfounded.
It was one thing for the Rain Ninja to shout it, but what was the meaning of his own side joining in? Was this a stab in the back?!
Just as Senju Genma was grumbling in his heart, he noticed that these Rain Ninja hadn't fled; instead, they were charging toward him.
Simply lawless!
"Sage Art: Wood Release: Cutting Technique!"
With a loud shout, Senju Genma grew several wooden spikes from his arms, thrusting them toward his enemies in a piercing assault.
Once these spikes entered the bodies of the Rain Ninja, they continued to branch and grow, impaling them from the inside out.
A Rain Ninja chunin, seemingly driven to madness by panic, charged wildly at Senju Genma.
Senju Genma grabbed him by the neck and hoisted him into the air.
"Do you want to dance, too?"
Senju Genma tossed him into the air and delivered a swift kick.
The chunin's body went flying, taking the ninja behind him along for the ride.
"Sage Art: Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique!"
Senju Genma spat a massive sphere of water from his mouth, instantly scattering the surrounding Rain Ninja forces.
The Konoha ninja seemed emboldened by Senju Genma's display.
"Charge! Drive these Rain Ninja out!"
"Hey, hey! We're in the Land of Rain, aren't we?"
"We're maintaining peace in the ninja world, don't you get it?! We aren't bullying civilians!"
"Lord Genma is looking at me! I shall give my life for Lord Genma!"
"Tatakae! Sasageyo!"
"Lord Genma, I want to bear your children!"
"Aren't you a man?"
"Mind your own business!"
Senju Genma stood in the center of the battlefield, feeling the breeze as his white hair danced in the air. He stood with his arms crossed, looking down upon the world with a haughty air.
He had started to get a bit carried away.
He had to admit, being adored felt pretty good.
Of course, it would be even better if men didn't want to bear his children.
"Genma-kun is certainly popular," Orochimaru remarked, watching the heroic figure of Senju Genma galloping across the battlefield.
Tsunade stood atop a large tree, gazing into the distance with a lovestruck expression.
Jiraiya, however, looked somewhat dejected and muttered, "Indeed."
In truth, he had once liked Tsunade, but she had no interest in him.
When it came to matters of the heart, Jiraiya was like a child.
His past habit of provoking Tsunade was, in reality, mostly an attempt to get her attention.
However, after spending two years on the battlefield with Tsunade and Senju Genma, he knew he had absolutely no chance, unless Senju Genma were to die.
But he was a good-natured man at heart and could not bring himself to kill a comrade for the sake of personal romance.
The observant and gentle Namikaze Minato noticed his teacher's unusual behavior, but he had nothing to say about it.
Caught between his good friend and his teacher, he could only tell himself that there was nothing he could do.
Namikaze Minato had graduated early from the Ninja Academy a year ago and, with Jiraiya's consent, had come to the battlefield.
He looked at Senju Genma on the battlefield with a hint of envy, for he also wanted to fight; he believed his own strength was already sufficient.
Namikaze Minato was indeed a genius. Although he had not yet mastered the Flying Thunder God technique, he had managed to develop the Rasengan on his own while sparring with Senju Genma, and his current strength was on par with a Special Jonin.
However, Jiraiya did not agree to his request, merely citing his status as a Genin to assign him simple tasks.
On the battlefield, Senju Genma closed in on the Rain Ninja once more, like a tiger entering a flock of sheep, unstoppable and fierce.
The Konoha ninja followed closely behind, engaging the Rain Ninja in intense combat.
Konoha's overall strength was already superior to that of the Rain Ninja, and with Senju Genma leading the charge, the Rain Ninja found them even harder to resist, suffering heavy losses and fleeing in disarray.
As the Rain Ninja routed, this small-scale skirmish quickly came to an end, and Senju Genma returned to the main force surrounded by his comrades.
Tsunade was just about to embrace Senju Genma to reward him, but Orochimaru interrupted, stepping in first with eyes full of admiration.
"Little Genma, not bad at all!"
"I am not little at all!" Senju Genma immediately retorted.
Tsunade nodded in agreement; she could personally attest that Senju Genma was indeed not little.
Orochimaru simply walked into the command center, ignoring the two of them entirely.
He knew that both Tsunade and Senju Genma had somewhat questionable thought processes, and arguing with them would only drag him down to their level.
He still had to command the battle, and he couldn't afford to have his mind filled with strange nonsense.
Inside the command tent, Orochimaru pointed to the map on the wall.
"With this battle, we have successfully wiped out all of the Hidden Rain Village's peripheral outposts."
"Our next operational objective is to strike directly at the Hidden Rain Village headquarters."
"Jiraiya, you are in charge of the intelligence unit. Tell us, where is Hanzo now?"
Orochimaru cared only about Hanzo; Hanzo was the greatest variable in this war.
In his view, even if the Hidden Rain Village had hidden troops, they were not as threatening as Hanzo alone.
Jiraiya cleared his throat, stood up, and said loudly, "According to intelligence, Hanzo appeared on the battlefield against the Hidden Sand Village a day ago. Based on the distance from that battlefield to the Hidden Rain Village headquarters, it will take him at least two and a half days to return."
Orochimaru nodded upon hearing this; he still respected Jiraiya's competence.
He pondered for a moment before issuing his orders: "For the next operation, we will launch a full-scale assault on the Hidden Rain Village directly from the north."
"Please remember, we are an army of peace. We do not take a single needle or thread from the civilians. Once we breach the Hidden Rain Village, keep your troops under strict control!"
"Gentlemen, this battle will be ours!"
"That is all!"
