Tsunade immediately exclaimed, "Second Grandfather's Flying Thunder God Technique? That technique is incredibly difficult. I tried to learn it in the past, but unfortunately, I couldn't master it."

Tsunade shook her head repeatedly. "How could I do that? Gambling is the proof of my status as the First Hokage's granddaughter; how could I ever give that up?"

Senju Genma teased, "If Lord Hashirama knew you considered gambling your proof, he would surely cry!"

"Itadakimasu!" the three of them said in unison, pressing their palms together.

"Itadakimasu" literally meant, "I humbly receive your gift, thank you."

The people of this land believed that food sacrificed itself to sustain them and was a gift from nature, so they always maintained a grateful, humble heart before eating.

Senju Genma didn't have any such sense of gratitude toward food; he had simply lived here for many years and was merely following the local customs.

The three of them finished their dinner amidst laughter and chatter, as warm and cozy as a real family.

"We'll always be like this in the future, right?" Uzumaki Kushina suddenly asked, her tone low and dejected.

Senju Genma knew she was feeling lost and afraid regarding her own future.

From the very first day she arrived in Konoha, she had known she was brought here to be the next Nine-Tails Jinchuriki.

Sometimes, she couldn't help but start to wonder.

If she sealed the Nine-Tails within herself, would she become a monster? Would Genma-nii and Tsunade-nee still accept her as their family?

"Of course we will be like this; it's how it's meant to be!" Senju Genma replied in a gentle tone, reaching out to stroke her beautiful red hair.
