Everyone stared at Uchiha Gray in shock.

"What did I just hear? Uchiha Gray is actually applying for early graduation to become a genin!?"

"How is that possible? Uchiha Gray can't even get a perfect score on shuriken throwing. Everyone knows the early genin exam is so strict it's enough to drive a person insane!"

"Is he joking? Is that guy Uchiha Gray crazy? How could he possibly pass the genin exam!"

Their gazes were filled with contempt and disdain.

In their eyes, Uchiha Gray was simply courting humiliation.

Uchiha Shinsei finally snapped out of it. He wanted to slap himself twice, but his face was filled with confusion.

Damn it!

We agreed to be the bottom-feeders together until the end—how could you betray me like that, Uchiha Gray!

"No one heard, no one heard." Uchiha Shinsei hung his head like an ostrich, praying that no one had heard what he'd just said.

"Uchiha Gray, do... do you know what you're saying?"

The Extra Teacher hadn't yet recovered from the shock of Uchiha Gray seemingly defying him, and he stammered as he spoke.

But immediately after, once he processed what Uchiha Gray had actually said, his expression became even more shocked.

"Do you know what you're saying?"

"Students who apply for early genin exams are all top-tier geniuses who will at least become elite chunin or even jonin in the future!"

Uchiha Gray's expression remained calm, but for some reason, his rock-steady demeanor made the Extra Teacher feel a chill in his heart.

"Oh? Are you saying I'm not allowed to apply for early graduation?"

"No, that's not it." The Extra Teacher furrowed his brows, feeling as though there was an unbridgeable chasm between him and Uchiha Gray.

"What I mean is..."

"Since the Ninja Academy has no written rules against it, then help me apply!"

A sharp glint flashed in the depths of Uchiha Gray's eyes as chakra surged through his body!

"Genjutsu!" He silently breathed out the word.

Gray had absolutely no patience to listen to the rest of the Extra Teacher's rambling; this teacher was just like Ebisu from the original story.

He had no patience for underachievers and certainly didn't believe they would ever amount to anything.

Compared to Iruka, this teacher was exactly the type of instructor students hated most.

The Extra Teacher looked stunned, his eyes glazing over as if he had lost consciousness. "O-okay."

A moment later, the Extra Teacher slowly came to his senses.

He looked at Uchiha Gray; although he didn't know what had just happened, a sudden sense of fear toward the boy welled up in his heart.

Today's display was a side of Uchiha Gray he had never seen before.

In the past, Uchiha Gray had been indifferent to everything; even when punished with standing in the corner, he had been as submissive as any other underachiever.

But today's Uchiha Gray gave him the feeling of facing a powerful ninja on the battlefield.

Powerful, terrifying, and cold—someone who could decide his life or death in an instant!

"Then I'll leave it to you, Teacher," Uchiha Gray said indifferently.

Before he had obtained powerful abilities through the system check-in, he had naturally needed to hide himself.

But now, he needed to obtain the Kizaru Glint-Glint Fruit template in the shortest time possible!

Therefore, he needed to show a portion of his strength to leave the village as soon as possible and check in at more locations.

"Today happens to be the examination for your mastery of ninjutsu and shuriken precision, so let us test those two areas today," Extra Teacher said with a light cough.

"And once you pass the exam, I will submit the applications for your genin promotion to the Hokage!"

Extra Teacher explained the procedure with a serious expression.

He looked at Uchiha Gray with some confusion; he had clearly intended to refuse to help the boy apply, yet for some reason, he had inexplicably chosen to agree.

Extra Teacher looked utterly frustrated.

He sighed helplessly; since he had already given his consent, there was no reason to go back on his word.

However, in his view, even if he helped Uchiha Gray apply, as the dead-last of the class, Uchiha Gray had no chance of passing the genin exam.

Perhaps he would fail the upcoming ninjutsu and shuriken precision tests anyway.

Everyone followed Extra Teacher to the training ground.

Uchiha Shinsei leaned in toward Gray. "Gray, have you lost your mind? Why would you think about applying for the genin exam?"

"We're both dead-lasts, damn it! Have you forgotten our pact? You're actually betraying the organization now."

Uchiha Shinsei's face was full of grief and indignation.

"Besides, with your grades, it's impossible for you to become a genin. You're just asking for humiliation!"

Uchiha Shinsei was furious.

"Body Replacement, Transformation, and Clone techniques: perfect scores. Shuriken throwing: perfect score. Uchiha Itachi has passed the initial assessment," Extra Teacher shouted.

"Uchiha Gray, you're up!"

"We'll start with the shuriken throwing assessment!" As he spoke, Extra Teacher handed the shuriken to Uchiha Gray.

The content of the assessment was very simple.

One only needed to hit the bullseye of the targets to pass the shuriken precision test; there were ten shuriken corresponding to ten targets.

But Uchiha Gray's shuriken throwing accuracy had never been passing in the past.

Many people wore mocking smiles.

Uchiha Gray splayed his ten fingers, gripping all ten shuriken at once, and cast a faint glance at the targets.
