Ning Rongrong was raised in the wealth and privilege of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. She uses fine clothing, accessories, and imported Hundred Flower Essential Oil, and carries herself with the pride expected of the sect’s young lady and future successor. 14 49

Her upbringing also gave her familiarity with treasure appraisal, guarded cultivation methods, and people with ulterior motives. She considers her evolved martial soul decisive proof of her claim to succession, asserting that her brothers would not dare contest it. 49 81 106

Before her martial soul evolved, she believed the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda condemned its wielders to a lifetime limit of level 79. This conviction contributed to her lack of commitment to cultivation: no matter her effort, she expected never to become a Soul Douluo. Her fear of aging and losing Zhao Linchuan intensified this insecurity. 46

Zhao Linchuan gave her the Qiluo Tulip and supervised her refinement of it. The herb evolved her martial soul into the Nine Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda, ending the sect’s inherited restriction and giving her a path beyond level 79. 46 48

While at Azure Dragon Academy, Rongrong’s cultivation rapidly rises from level 37 to level 38. She also assists in academy affairs, including requesting Qian Renxue’s aid with the academy’s name change, and displays the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s wealth by distributing one-million-Gold-Soul-Coin black cards to students. 148 155

The students' enthusiastic address of “Headmaster's Wife” visibly pleases her, despite her playful protests. During the subsequent dinner, she helps deflect Qian Renxue's efforts to intoxicate Zhao Linchuan and confirms that Ning Fengzhi's visit was a test of Zhao's suitability for the sect's support. Soul Ring Upgrades

After Zhao Linchuan returns from the mysterious little world, Rongrong is astonished by his victory over the ancient tree spirit that had gravely injured Sword Douluo. Zhao then offers to improve the group's existing Soul Rings. 178

Rongrong joins Zhao Linchuan, Liu Erlong, Xiao Wu, and the Zhu sisters on another Star Dou Forest soul hunt. Although Zhao supplies Wings of Wind for the journey, her unfamiliarity with flying leads her to seek Liu Erlong's assistance. 183

Zhao captures a roughly 32,000-year-old Sunshine Rainbow Little White Horse, a rare, gentle, unicorn-like Soul Beast whose attributes closely match her pagoda. Delighted by the selection, Rongrong thanks him affectionately and takes the beast aside to obtain its ring.
