Yuhi Shinku stood at the very front of the group, his back to the others, his gaze seemingly fixed on the depths of the dense forest ahead.
His shoulders were slightly tense, clearly having sensed something.
"Mr. Tianshui, what do you think?"
Yuhi Shinku suddenly spoke, his voice calm but carrying a hint of probing. "There seems to be an unusual presence in these woods."
Tianshui Jugo stood beside Yuhi Shinku, one hand gripping the hilt of his sword as his cold gaze swept across the path ahead.
His voice was low and slightly hoarse. "Mr. Yuhi, you are a ninja. Your senses are far sharper than those of a samurai like me. Since you say so, you must already have an answer."
Yuhi Shinku gave a soft chuckle, turning around as his gaze swept over the caravan behind him. It lingered briefly on Aoba and Asuma before quickly moving away.
"You flatter me, Mr. Tianshui. I merely feel that this road is a little livelier than we expected."
"Livelier?"
Tianshui Jugo raised an eyebrow slightly, his tone carrying a trace of chill. "Mr. Yuhi, what do you mean by that?"
"Nothing. Just a feeling."
Yuhi Shinku waved a hand, his smile remaining gentle. "Still, it never hurts to be cautious. Aoba, Asuma, you two go scout the road ahead. Be careful. Don't let your guard down."
Aoba and Asuma exchanged a glance, unease rising in both their hearts.
Though Yuhi Shinku's tone was relaxed, they could not be fooled by the gravity hidden behind his smile.
