Scar Brother sized Asuma up and down, then glanced at Kawaki Aoba beside him. The hostility in his eyes did not lessen in the slightest. With a cold sneer, he said mockingly, "Konoha ninja? Hunting down rogue ninja? Hmph, that sounds nice enough, but who knows whether you're using the hunt for rogue ninja as an excuse to gather intelligence at Sunagakure's border? I think you're up to no good!"
Hearing Scar Brother's words, Kawaki Aoba immediately grew angry. He could not help stepping forward, about to argue back, but Asuma grabbed hold of him.
Asuma signaled for him not to act rashly, then looked at Scar Brother again. His tone remained calm, yet carried an undeniable force. "Friend from Sunagakure, you should not make accusations so lightly.
"Konoha and Sunagakure are allies now. There is no reason for us to risk damaging that alliance just to gather intelligence at your border.
"The rogue ninja we are pursuing once betrayed Konoha and harmed Sunagakure ninja as well. We came here for the benefit of both sides, so please do not misunderstand."
"Misunderstand?"
Scar Brother gave a derisive snort and pointed at the crater in the ground, his tone stern. "Would a misunderstanding cause such a huge commotion? If that hand grenade had landed even a little closer, my brother would have been injured. Is this what you Konoha ninja call 'having no hostile intentions'? I think you're deliberately provoking us!" The freckled Sunagakure ninja hurriedly spoke up as well, saying heatedly, "Exactly! We Sunagakure aren't afraid of you Konoha! If you know what's good for you, get out of our borderlands now, or don't blame us for getting rough!"
Kawaki Aoba could no longer hold himself back. Breaking free from Asuma's grip, he stepped forward and stared firmly at Scar
