Senju Kyogawa sent the young ninjas to the other side to help bandage the lightly wounded, letting them get used to it first.
Because of the war, there were countless wounded on the battlefield, their injuries varying in severity. Some of the gravely wounded might have already drawn their last breath before Senju Kyogawa and the medical corps could reach them.
But Senju Kyogawa's energy was limited. Taking in hundreds of wounded every day was still far too much for him. So he focused only on those with especially severe injuries, while the more lightly wounded could be left to the other medical ninja and the young ninjas who had come to help.
Even so, Senju Kyogawa was still somewhat overwhelmed. The more serious the injury, the more energy he had to expend and the longer the healing took. Thus, even if he healed people without sleeping or resting, it was still difficult.
Senju Kyogawa's complexion had turned faintly pale. His face, already fair, now bore an unhealthy, wan pallor.
Senju Kyogawa had been treating the wounded here for dozens of hours straight, even setting aside time to support nearby ninja squads.
Senju Kyogawa used Thou Shalt Not Die again to save a dying ninja. However, the number of times Thou Shalt Not Die could be used each day was limited. Using it too often would also drain Senju Kyogawa's own life force, so unless there was no other choice, he would not use it. He only used Thou Shalt Not Die on ninja on the brink of death.
Moreover, Senju Kyogawa's Thou Shalt Not Die was an incomplete version. The ninja saved by it had merely had their lives pulled back from the brink; it did not mean that all their injuries would be healed after it was used.
