After a brief moment of shock, Son Goku immediately realized things had gone terribly wrong.
Majin Buu hovered in midair, and that Kamehameha was blasting down from above!
If he dodged, the Earth beneath him would be pierced by that terrifying energy and instantly blown to dust in space!
"I've got no choice!"
Son Goku clenched his back teeth and thrust both palms forward, bracing himself against the raging beam bearing down on him.
Rumble!
The moment he made contact, the immense pressure caused the rocks beneath Son Goku to collapse over a wide area.
He was driven halfway into the ground as the earth around him crumbled wildly.
"Hah!"
Son Goku's face flushed red as he forced his ki to its absolute limit.
Bang!
With a fierce shout, he finally managed to knock the blue Kamehameha off course. It shot into the sky, broke through the atmosphere, and exploded in space.
"Phew... phew..."
Son Goku gasped for breath, nearly out of energy.
Super Saiyan 3 was already a bottomless drain. If he weren't dead, there was no way his living body could have kept it up this long.
"Goku! If you keep fighting like this, the one day you have left on Earth will be over in no time!"
North Kai and Supreme Kai Shin hurriedly warned him in his mind.
"That fat guy's tougher than he looks!" Son Goku wiped the sweat from his face, then grinned. "Getting to have a good fight with a monster like this makes the trip back worthwhile!"
So what if his time ran out? He was only here to fight, anyway.
"Yah!"
Before Son Goku could catch his breath, Majin Buu let out another strange cry and charged at him.
The monster was incredibly quick to learn in battle.
After that warm-up, his moves had become trickier, and his power even more overwhelming.
As their fortunes shifted, Son Goku soon found himself at a disadvantage.
The punishing drain of Super Saiyan 3 slowed him more and more, while Majin Buu fought harder and harder as if nothing could touch him.
Thump!
Majin Buu spotted an opening and swept his thick leg across, kicking Son Goku away like a ball.
Whoosh!
Son Goku tumbled through the air several times. When he hit the ground, his golden hair had vanished, and he had returned to normal.
He simply couldn't keep going.
If he forced himself to maintain Super Saiyan 3, the time he had left before returning to the afterlife would immediately run out—and he still wouldn't beat this monster.
"You're no fun."
"I'm going to turn you into chocolate and eat you!"
Majin Buu stuck out his tongue at Son Goku, and the fleshy antenna on his head suddenly aimed at him.
Zzt!
A blinding pinkish-purple bolt of electricity shot out.
Son Goku instinctively sensed extreme danger and darted to the side.
The pink bolt missed him and struck the pile of rocks behind him.
Something incredible happened: the hard rocks instantly turned into colorful candy.
"This fat guy can do that, too?"
Son Goku frowned.
Getting hit and turned into a snack would be a pretty pathetic way to die.
"Qin Feng, this monster's yours! I'm out of energy!" Son Goku shouted to Qin Feng in the distance, without a hint of shame.
He wasn't like Vegeta, stubbornly clinging to his pride and making himself suffer. If he couldn't win, he'd call for help without hesitation.
"Sure. It's about time we wrapped up this warm-up."
Qin Feng rolled his neck.
He'd watched this farce long enough. It was time to end it.
Whoosh!
Qin Feng tapped the ground with his toes and flashed in front of Majin Buu like a phantom.
He swung back his right fist and drove it forward without hesitation.
Thump!
A dull boom rang out as Majin Buu's round head burst like a watermelon.
Pink mush and goo splattered across the ground, writhing like disgusting maggots.
"Th-that's an incredible amount of power!"
Son Gohan and Piccolo gasped behind him.
One punch had blown the monster's head apart. They weren't even in the same league.
"Don't get too optimistic, Mr. Qin Feng," Supreme Kai Shin cried out anxiously. "Majin Buu's terrifying ability is regeneration! As long as even one cell survives, he can revive endlessly!"
"Supreme Kai's right. That fat guy took my Kamehameha head-on without even getting scratched. Punches and kicks alone definitely won't kill him," Son Goku chimed in.
Sure enough.
The pink mush on the ground quickly gathered together, and in the blink of an eye, Majin Buu's head had grown back perfectly.
But two small clumps of pink flesh hadn't rejoined the rest.
They silently turned into two puddles of pink goo, then crawled along the ground like snakes, sneaking toward Son Goku and Vegeta, who lay unconscious in the distance.
Whoosh!
Qin Feng paid them no mind and charged in again.
Thump, thump, thump!
A storm of iron fists rained down on Majin Buu.
Fat Buu could take a beating, but he had become what he was by absorbing Supreme Kai.
In terms of pure regenerative ability, he was nowhere near as powerful as the original Kid Buu.
Under Qin Feng's merciless barrage, Majin Buu's ki finally began to weaken noticeably.
"It's working! That monster's ki is weakening!" Son Goku shouted excitedly.
"Dad! Watch your back!" Son Gohan suddenly cried out.
At some point, a huge pink net had risen behind Son Goku. Its gaping maw opened wide and lunged straight at him.
Whoosh!
Son Goku reacted instantly. Without even turning around, he touched two fingers to his forehead and used Instant Transmission to appear beside Son Gohan, narrowly dodging the sneak attack.
Son Goku had escaped, but Vegeta, who lay badly injured and unconscious in the distance, wasn't so lucky.
The other puddle of pink goo turned into a net and wrapped itself around the unsuspecting Majin Vegeta, swallowing him whole.
"Vegeta..."
"Uncle Vegeta!"
Watching Vegeta get tightly wrapped in the pink mass, Son Goku and Son Gohan cried out, their expressions instantly darkening.
"Hehehe..."
Majin Buu let out a sinister laugh.
The pink mass wrapped around Vegeta flew back to Majin Buu and instantly merged with his body.
"This is bad. That monster's definitely preparing some big move."
Son Goku frowned and muttered under his breath.
"Uh-oh! Majin Buu can absorb people! Once he eats someone, he gains their power!"
Only then did Supreme Kai Shin realize what was happening, and he hurriedly shouted a warning.
"Why didn't you say that sooner, you idiot?!"
Son Goku shot Supreme Kai an annoyed look.
This useless god was always more trouble than help, and every warning came after the fact.
If he'd said something earlier, they could've been ready for it.
"I... I panicked earlier. My mind went blank, and I really forgot!"
Supreme Kai Shin looked wronged and nervously hunched his shoulders.
Ever since he'd first seen Majin Buu, his knees had been shaking. He could hardly think straight.
"Yaaah!"
Before anyone could react, Majin Buu threw his head back and let out a long, piercing shriek.
Boom!
Blazing purple energy erupted from his body like a volcano, surging into the sky.
In an instant, Majin Buu's ki skyrocketed explosively.
Wave after wave of violent energy swept outward, forcing everyone back.
"That ki is terrifying! This monster's power is far beyond Vegeta's in Super Saiyan 3!"
"Qin Feng's in trouble now!"
Feeling that horrifying pressure, Son Goku's expression grew utterly grave.
Majin Buu was now absurdly powerful.
Even if Son Goku came back to life at full strength and transformed into Super Saiyan 3, he'd just be throwing himself into the fight to get beaten.
And though Qin Feng was ridiculously strong, the limit he'd shown so far was only Super Saiyan 3.
Against Majin Buu as he was now, it was impossible to say who would win!
