"Kibito."
The voice was low and carried an oppressive authority that was hard to refuse.
Kibito Kai hurried out from a corner of the Supreme Kai World and bowed slightly. "I'm here, Supreme Kai."
"Go to Earth." Old Supreme Kai traced a finger through the air, as if sketching an invisible path.
Kibito Kai looked up, a flicker of confusion in his eyes. "Go to Earth? What for?"
"To find that boy named Jiang Che." Old Supreme Kai slowly shifted his gaze to Kibito Kai. His cloudy eyes suddenly sharpened. "We can't leave a human like him unchecked. His power... has long surpassed that of an ordinary Saiyan, and may even—"
He changed course, his voice quivering with disbelief. "He may even have touched the realm of the gods. I want to know what his appearance means..."
Kibito Kai's pupils contracted. His lips moved faintly, but in the end, he nodded solemnly. "Understood. I'll take care of it right away."
As soon as he finished speaking, he turned into a streak of white light and vanished from the Supreme Kai World, leaving only faint ripples of energy in the air.
Old Supreme Kai stood alone in the center of the Supreme Kai World. All around him was silent, with only the distant nebulae slowly turning.
He lowered his head and looked at the crystal ball. A faint golden glow still lingered in the direction Jiang Che had disappeared.
His withered fingers gently rubbed the edge of the crystal ball, and his murmuring voice echoed through the empty hall:
"God of Super Saiyans... I never thought such a being truly existed..."
The corner of his mouth slowly curved into a meaningful smile, and a keen anticipation glinted in his eyes.
"Well, this should get interesting..."
Jiang Che's figure was like a streak of black lightning, cutting across the sky.
He sped through the void, the surrounding space splitting into countless hair-thin cracks. The wind roared past his ears, and a long trail of rushing air stretched across the ground below.
But the next second, he suddenly stopped—as if someone had grabbed him by the throat, leaving him suspended in midair.
The air exploded in layers, shock waves spreading outward in rippling circles.
Jiang Che hovered motionlessly among the clouds, his coat snapping in the wake of the blast.
He narrowed his eyes slightly, a cold glint flashing deep within them.
He slowly turned his head and lifted his chin, his gaze piercing through layers of space as it locked onto a distant point.
An almost imperceptible ripple spread through the void, like a pebble dropped into a still lake.
"Interesting..." he said softly, his voice cool. The faintest curve touched his lips. "You actually came looking for me."
Not far ahead, the air twisted violently, as if an invisible hand were prying open space.
A golden light suddenly flared, like the first ray of dawn blooming in the darkness.
It wasn't dazzling, but it carried a sacred, ancient aura. The air grew warm, as if some kind of power were awakening.
The light gradually drew in, and a slender figure emerged from its brightest point.
As the light faded, the figure's features grew clearer. His style was unmistakably that of the Supreme Kai World. He wore distinctive robes, and his long, deep-blue hair fell over his shoulders like a waterfall. Dark gold patterns adorned the hem, shimmering faintly.
He had handsome features, soft and refined, yet a fearsome authority lay buried in his eyes. He seemed born to stand above everyone else and look down upon the world.
It was Kibito Kai.
His feet touched the air, each step as light as if he were walking on invisible stairs.
The wind stirred his robes, but he remained composed.
Kibito Kai looked straight at Jiang Che, his gaze mingling scrutiny and respect with a touch of indescribable curiosity.
"You're Jiang Che, aren't you?" he said. His voice wasn't loud, yet it had a penetrating quality that seemed to sink into one's bones.
"I'm Kibito Kai, from the Supreme Kai World."
Jiang Che slowly turned around, completely calm. He didn't seem surprised to meet a stranger; rather, he acted as though he had known the other man would come.
He folded his arms, his expression indifferent, with a hint of amusement in his eyes, as if he had found something interesting.
"I know who you are." Jiang Che's tone was casual, as if they were chatting about the weather. "What do you want?"
Kibito Kai was taken aback. Surprise flickered in his eyes—he hadn't expected Jiang Che to be so calm. Abnormally calm.
It was as if the boy had foreseen everything, or simply didn't care who stood before him.
Such composure could only belong to a true powerhouse.
He steadied himself and drew a breath, concealing the subtle stir in his heart. "Old Supreme Kai wants to meet you."
"Meet me?" Jiang Che raised an eyebrow, a half-smile playing on his lips.
There was amusement in that smile, along with wariness and an inscrutable hint of something deeper.
"Because of my transformation, right?"
Kibito Kai's eyes narrowed, and an imperceptible glint flashed deep within his pupils.
He didn't answer at once, merely studying Jiang Che closely. A wave of astonishment rose in his heart. This guy wasn't just frighteningly strong; his perception was terrifyingly keen, too.
He nodded briskly. "That's right. Old Supreme Kai is very interested in your power."
"Heh." Jiang Che chuckled, the sound lingering in the air. He tapped his arm with a finger, his tone carrying a hint of world-weary wisdom. "That old man sure gets news quickly."
He paused, his gaze sweeping over Kibito Kai like a thread before settling on his face. A faint smile played at his lips. "But the Supreme Kais never interfere in the affairs of mortals. If you're coming to find me in person, I doubt it's as simple as being 'interested.'"
The air around them seemed to freeze.
The wind stopped, and even the distant clouds fell still.
Kibito Kai's expression didn't change, but his instincts put him on guard.
He hadn't expected the boy to be so shrewd. Every word was like an invisible needle, picking apart the flaws in what he said and putting him on the defensive.
After a few seconds of silence, he finally settled on his words and kept his voice as even as possible. "Old Supreme Kai does have something to discuss with you."
He raised his eyes and met Jiang Che's gaze. "It would be better for you to go there yourself and hear what it is."
Jiang Che didn't answer immediately.
The sky above was clear and cloudless, and sunlight fell over him, stretching his shadow far behind him.
He kept his eyes on Kibito Kai, but something seemed to stir deep in his pupils—he was thinking.
He wasn't actually opposed to meeting the Supreme Kai.
After all, they were the ones who governed the order of the universe, among the true rulers of the world.
Besides, he had just gained 100,000 exchange points—a huge fortune—and hadn't yet decided how to use it.
Perhaps meeting Old Supreme Kai, who possessed knowledge from ancient times, would help him uncover more useful information.
More importantly—Jiang Che narrowed his eyes, the glint in them growing sharper—perhaps he could get something genuinely useful for himself out of the old man.
