Destruction Energy Sphere

Goku lay on the ground, drenched in blood. His jeans were shredded into rags, and the wounds on his body were deep enough to reveal bone.

Every breath he took made his face turn deathly pale from the agony.

Yet, he stared fixedly at Jiang Che in the sky, his gaze pinned there like steel nails.

Clenching his teeth, the veins on his forehead bulging alarmingly, he squeezed out the words one by one: "He... he is a Super Saiyan God..."

Pan and Mr. Satan nearly cried out in unison, their shouts echoing through the shattered valley.

Just then, Great Ape Baby tilted his head back and let out a heaven-shaking roar, a sound as if he intended to blast the entire mountain range away.

He pounded his chest frantically, the sound dull like thunder, making one's scalp tingle: "Bastard! I must slaughter you today!"

His eyes were blood-red, as if they were about to drip blood; his explosive muscles bulged, and the veins on his body coiled like giant snakes.

He suddenly opened his mouth, and a massive energy sphere condensed deep within.

It started the size of a fist, but in the blink of an eye, it expanded to several meters wide. Black arcs of electricity crawled across its surface, and the dark red light at its center was so oppressive it made it hard to breathe, like a dead star about to crash down.

The air suddenly became thick and heavy, and the surrounding rubble and broken wood began to float slowly, as if pulled by some unseen force.

Pan felt a tightness in her chest, unable to catch her breath.

Mr. Satan simply crouched on the ground, clutching his head tightly.

"Destruction Energy Sphere!" Great Ape Baby jerked his head forward, and the giant energy sphere shot toward Jiang Che like a meteor released from a bow, tearing through the air with a shriek that sounded like it would split the world apart.

The ground was gouged into a deep trench, and gravel scattered like rain.

Yet, Jiang Che remained standing, motionless.

The wild wind whipped his black hair into a mess, his robes snapping violently.

His expression did not change; he didn't even lift his brow.

He was like a nail, fused into the very fabric of heaven and earth.

Without dodging or evading, he slowly raised his right hand, fingers splayed.

"Hah!"

He let out a low shout, the sound striking like a hammer against the heart, and a golden flame exploded in his palm, bright as a miniature sun.

That golden flame instantly condensed into an invisible barrier.

The energy sphere collided with it, creating a piercing, grating sound in an instant, like countless steel blades scraping against glass.

The sphere spun frantically against his palm, distorting the surrounding air, yet it could not push through by even a fraction, nor could it detonate.

"Th-this is impossible!" Great Ape Baby's eyes widened, his expression one of seeing a ghost, his mouth hanging open in a daze, drool nearly spilling out.

He poured his strength into the energy sphere frantically, desperate to make it explode, but Jiang Che's hand was like a black hole, firmly suppressing all that violent energy; no matter how he struggled, it was useless.

A look of contempt curled the corner of Jiang Che's mouth, and he suddenly clenched his five fingers!

"Boom—!"

The energy sphere was crushed like a glass marble, black and gold shards of light splattering everywhere like a shower of broken stars, quickly dissipating into mid-air.

"Is this the extent of your ability?" Jiang Che's voice was faint, cold as ice. "You disappoint me."

As soon as he finished speaking, he vanished.

Without a hint of warning, without a running start, without the sound of air tearing—he simply evaporated into thin air.

The next second, he appeared before Great Ape Baby, face-to-face, less than half a meter apart.

Baby's pupils constricted sharply, and the fur on his body stood on end.

"Since that's the case, then die."

Jiang Che raised his right hand, his index finger pointed at Great Ape Baby's forehead. A ball of red light erupted from his fingertip, instantly transforming into a searing beam, moving too fast for the naked eye to track!

The red beam, like a death sentence, pierced directly into Baby's forehead and exited through the back of his skull, trailing a thin line of blood.

Rocks tumbled, and the booming sound reached the ground only after a delay.

Fear and shock still lingered in Baby's eyes as his body tilted backward from the momentum.

Immediately after, his body, larger than a mountain, lost its balance and crashed to the ground with a thunderous thud, sending dust billowing and shaking the very earth.

Everything fell into sudden, dead silence.

The crimson beam erupted from Jiang Che's fingertip, like a sword of destruction, tearing through the sky and shooting straight toward the center of Baby's brow.

Wherever the beam passed, the air scorched and warped, emitting a piercing "hissing" sound, and even space itself cracked with tiny fissures.

Nearby asteroids were caught in the shockwave, their surfaces instantly shattering, the debris turning to dust in the void.

Baby's pupils shrank to the size of pinpricks, his body's instinctual alarm bells ringing wildly.

He could clearly feel that energy; it wasn't just meant to wound him—it was meant to erase him from existence!

This was the most ferocious, pure, and lethal energy he had ever seen.

In an instant, Baby whipped his head around, the muscles in his neck taut as ropes, his veins bulging as if they were about to burst.

The beam grazed his scalp, scorching a tuft of fur.

The small planet behind him was struck by the beam, instantly exploding into countless fragments that burst outward like fireworks.

The shockwave swept toward him, forcing Baby to stumble backward, his massive feet carving deep craters into the ground.

A line of blood trickled from his forehead, dripping down his fur into the dust—the mark of the beam's graze.

The searing pain made him grit his teeth.

"Bastard..." He sneered at Jiang Che, his eyes filled with a tangled mess of hatred and fear, even a flicker of unease.

His chest heaved violently, his breathing growing heavy and ragged, like a truly enraged monster.

"Oh? You dodged it." Jiang Che withdrew his hand, his tone slightly surprised as the corners of his mouth curled upward. "As expected of Baby in his Great Ape form; your speed is decent. But that was just a warm-up."

"Don't get cocky!" Baby roared, his voice so thunderous it shook the entire battlefield.

He slammed both fists into the ground!

"BOOM--"

The entire ground cracked like a spiderweb, sending dirt and rocks flying into the air.

Countless boulders shot upward, each one like the bone of a monster, pressing down from the sky.

Baby swung his arm violently, and the boulders rained down toward Jiang Che like a meteor shower, a dark mass that blotted out the sun.

The debris tore through the air with a low, powerful sound, like the beating of war drums.

Jiang Che stood there, his expression as steady as a rock, his eyes devoid of any fluctuation.

He traced an arc with his hands, fingers splayed, crimson energy swirling in his palms.

Without a hint of hesitation, he let out a low shout: "Super Saiyan God Barrier!"

The crimson barrier hummed as it expanded, encasing Jiang Che in a transparent hemisphere; light rippled across its surface, so hot that the surrounding air began to distort.
