Destruction Energy Sphere

Goku lay on the ground, covered in blood. His jeans had been torn to shreds, and his wounds were deep enough to expose bone.

Every breath he took made his face go pale with pain.

But he stared fixedly at Jiang Che in the sky, his gaze pinning him in place like a steel nail.

He clenched his teeth, veins throbbing in his forehead, and forced the words out one by one. "H-he's... a God of Super Saiyans..."

Pan and Mr. Satan nearly shouted at the same time. Their cries echoed through the shattered valley.

Just then, Great Ape Baby raised his head and let out a deafening roar, as if he meant to shake the entire mountain range apart.

He pounded his chest furiously. The dull thuds sounded like thunder, making everyone's scalp tingle. "Bastard! I'm going to kill you today!"

His eyes were bloodshot, nearly dripping with blood. His explosive muscles bulged, and veins coiled over his body like giant snakes.

He suddenly opened his mouth, and a massive energy sphere began forming deep inside.

At first, it was only the size of a fist. In the blink of an eye, it swelled to several meters across. Black arcs of electricity crawled over its surface, while the dark red light at its core pressed down on everyone's chest, like a dead star about to fall.

The air grew sticky and heavy. Nearby rubble and broken trees slowly floated upward, as if drawn by some unseen force.

Pan's chest felt tight, and she couldn't draw a full breath.

Mr. Satan dropped to the ground and clutched his head.

"Destruction Energy Sphere!" Great Ape Baby whipped his head around. The enormous sphere shot toward Jiang Che like a meteor loosed from a sling, tearing through the air with a shriek that seemed capable of splitting the world apart.

It gouged a deep trench through the ground, sending rubble flying in every direction like rain.

Yet Jiang Che remained standing, perfectly still.

The gale tossed his black hair about, and his robes snapped in the wind.

His expression didn't change. He didn't even lift the brim of his hat.

He was like a nail driven into the earth, rooted to the world itself.

Without dodging or flinching, he slowly raised his right hand and spread his fingers.

"Ha!"

He gave a low shout, the sound striking the heart like a hammer. Golden flames burst into life in his palm, shining like a miniature sun.

The golden flames instantly condensed into an invisible barrier.

The energy sphere slammed into it, scraping against the barrier with a shrill sound, like countless steel blades dragging across glass.

The sphere spun wildly in his palm, warping the air around it, but it couldn't push through or explode.

"T-this is impossible!" Great Ape Baby's eyes widened. He looked as if he'd seen a ghost, his mouth hanging foolishly open, drool almost spilling out.

He poured more and more power into the sphere, desperately trying to make it explode. But Jiang Che's hand was like a black hole, holding back every surge of energy. No matter how fiercely it struggled, it was useless.

A contemptuous smile tugged at Jiang Che's lips. He suddenly clenched his five fingers!

"Crack—bang!"

The energy sphere burst like a glass marble crushed in someone's fist. Black and golden fragments scattered in all directions like a shower of shattered stars, then quickly faded away in midair.

"Is that all you've got?" Jiang Che's voice was calm, cold as ice. "You've disappointed me."

As soon as the words left his mouth, he vanished.

There was no warning, no running start, no sound of the air breaking. He simply disappeared into thin air.

The next second, he appeared right in front of Great Ape Baby, face-to-face, less than half a meter away.

Baby's pupils shrank sharply, and the fur on his body stood on end.

"In that case, you can die."

Jiang Che raised his right hand and aimed his index finger at Great Ape Baby's forehead. A burst of red light flared at his fingertip and instantly became a blazing beam, too fast for the naked eye to follow!

"Super Saiyan God: God-Slaying Beam!"

The red beam was like a death sentence. It pierced straight through Baby's forehead and out the back of his head, leaving behind a thin trail of blood.

It drew a crimson arc through the air.

After piercing through him, the beam continued straight ahead. A few seconds later, it slammed into the summit of a distant mountain, shearing off the entire peak.

Rocks tumbled down. The rumble reached the ground a moment later.

Fear and shock still lingered in Baby's eyes as his body tipped backward from the force.

Then his mountain-sized body lost its balance and crashed to the ground. Dust billowed, and the entire earth shook beneath the impact.

Everything fell silent.

A scarlet beam burst from Jiang Che's fingertip, like a sword of destruction tearing across the sky and shooting straight for Baby's brow.

The air warped from the heat wherever it passed, hissing sharply. Even space split open with tiny cracks.

Nearby asteroids were caught in the shockwave. Their surfaces shattered instantly, and their fragments became dust in space.

Baby's pupils shrank to pinpricks, and every instinct in his body screamed a warning.

He could clearly feel the energy. It wasn't just meant to hurt him—it was meant to erase him from the world!

It was the most savage, purest, and most deadly energy he had ever encountered.

In an instant, Baby jerked his head aside, the muscles in his neck tightening like ropes, his veins nearly bursting.

The beam grazed his scalp and singed a tuft of fur.

The asteroid behind him was struck by the beam and exploded into countless fragments, bursting apart like fireworks.

The shockwave swept over him and sent him staggering backward, his massive feet stamping deep craters into the ground.

A thin line of blood ran from his forehead and dripped through his fur into the dust—the mark left by the beam's graze.

The searing pain made him grit his teeth.

"Bastard..." He grinned savagely at Jiang Che, hatred and fear tangling in his eyes. A trace of unease even flickered across his face.

His chest heaved, and his breathing grew ragged, like a truly enraged monster.

"Oh? You dodged it." Jiang Che lowered his hand, a hint of surprise in his voice as the corners of his mouth lifted. "Not bad, Baby, after your Great Ape Transformation. But that was only a warm-up."

"Don't get cocky!" Baby roared, his voice so thunderous that it shook the battlefield.

He slammed both fists into the ground!

"Rumble—"

The earth split apart like a spiderweb, flinging dirt and rocks into the air.

Countless boulders shot skyward, each like a monster's bone, then came crashing down from above.

Baby swung an arm. The boulders hurtled toward Jiang Che like a meteor shower, a vast, black mass blotting out the sun.

The rocks cut through the air with a deep, powerful roar, like pounding drums.

Jiang Che stood there, unruffled, his eyes steady.

He swept both hands through an arc and spread his fingers. Crimson energy swirled in his palms.

Without a moment's hesitation, he shouted, "Super Saiyan God Barrier!"

The crimson barrier burst open with a hum, encasing Jiang Che inside a transparent hemisphere. Light flowed across its surface, and the heat made the surrounding air begin to warp.
