Baby is presented as the Tuffles' avenger. He claims that the Saiyans destroyed the Tuffle homeland, slaughtered its people, ruined its civilization, and turned their planet into a plaything; his campaign is framed as revenge for that destruction 20.

He arrives on Earth as a parasitic entity whose primary method is possession. His objective is to take control of the Saiyans—particularly powerful hosts such as Vegeta and Gohan—then turn Earth into a new Tuffle stronghold 15. His parasites can infiltrate victims, spread through their bodies, erode their will, and suppress their personalities 16 17.

Appearance

Baby's appearance changes substantially with his hosts and power.

Baby is driven by hatred of the Saiyans and an obsessive desire to restore Tuffle dominance. He views possession, torture, and planetary conquest as justified revenge for the Tuffles' extermination 15 20.

He is arrogant when he believes he holds the superior body or power, calling himself a perfect existence and a king who has ruled countless planets 22. However, Jiang Che's overwhelming strength repeatedly breaks that confidence. Once defeated, Baby becomes frightened, desperate, and willing to barter information about powerful beings and cosmic secrets in exchange for his life 23 26 27.

Invasion of Earth

Baby's arrival triggers a system mission for Jiang Che: eliminate Great Ape Baby within one month before he controls the Saiyans and converts Earth into a Tuffle stronghold 15. He quickly corrupts Gohan and Goten and begins infecting Vegeta 16 17.

First Great Ape Battle

After revealing his Great Ape form, Baby attempts to fully infect Vegeta. Jiang Che intervenes, incapacitates Baby's controlled Saiyan hosts, and dominates Baby in direct combat 17 23. Baby attempts to save himself by offering secrets about the universe, Frieza, Zeno, and other powerful figures, but Jiang Che refuses 23 27.

Return and New Planet Tuffle Conflict

Baby remains active and grows more powerful. He defeats Super Saiyan 4 Goku on New Planet Tuffle, but Jiang Che saves Goku from a killing blow and confronts Baby again 33 36 40. Jiang Che destroys Baby's parasitic essence with a crimson beam while preserving Vegeta, the host body 40 41.

Earth-Energy Fusion

Baby later fuses with the energy of every human on Earth, creating a black cocoon and escalating into another city-destroying confrontation with Jiang Che and the Z Warriors 44. The aftermath confirms Baby has been dealt with, while Goku and Vegeta are left injured and later healed 46.
