Jiang Che slowly opened his eyes, a glimmer of fading light still lingering in them.
He tilted his head slightly and gazed through the window at the distant horizon. A smile tugged at his lips, its meaning impossible to discern.
"One month... That sounds interesting." He chuckled softly, then drew his gaze back. His fingers tapped his knee twice without thinking, as if he were making some kind of plan.
Then he closed his eyes again and sank into meditation.
The air around him began to tremble faintly. A power was awakening inside him.
He stood on the platform of Heavenly God's Palace with his hands behind his back, watching the horizon recede into the distance.
Far away, Son Goku and the others' spaceship had dwindled to a speck in the sky before the clouds swallowed it up, until it was gone from sight.
The stone steps before the palace were old. The breeze stirred a few withered leaves.
Jiang Che's clothes fluttered in the wind, then fell back into place with a faint rustle.
He drew a deep breath, sensing the traces of energy still lingering in the air—the familiar presence was speeding away toward Beerus Planet.
"One month..." His voice echoed across the empty platform.
His gaze remained fixed on the distant horizon, as though he could see Beerus Planet. "There's... enough time." He turned around, the soles of his shoes scraping against the flagstones with a faint echo.
The flagstones had been polished by wind and rain over countless years, reflecting his upright figure.
Jiang Che turned his attention to the heavy stone door at the center of Kami's Lookout.
It stood in silence, the entrance to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
He strode toward it, his aura subtly shifting with each step, as if he were fine-tuning his body.
By the time he reached the door, his aura had settled completely, like that of a martial artist preparing to enter the battlefield.
Just then, Dende emerged from the palace, carrying a pot of tea brewed with Senzu Beans.
The instant he saw Jiang Che, he froze, nearly dropping the pot.
Dende's gaze swept over Jiang Che, and he inadvertently caught the fleeting sharpness in his eyes.
"Mr. Jiang Che, you just came out, and now you're going back in?" Dende asked, confused. He instinctively tightened his grip on the teapot.
"Yeah." Jiang Che didn't turn around. His voice was calm and decisive.
He could feel Dende watching him from behind, but he didn't stop.
"There are things I need to take care of."
Dende opened his mouth, then said nothing.
He watched Jiang Che's shadow stretch out in the light—his steps carried an unshakable resolve.
In the end, Dende simply swallowed, stepped aside, and bowed slightly with a hint of reverence.
As Jiang Che passed him, the air suddenly grew hotter. The pressure was invisible, yet unmistakably real.
Jiang Che reached out and pushed open the stone door to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
The door rumbled as dust fell from its seams, and white light gradually illuminated his figure.
The light beyond the door was dazzling and pure, imbued with a mysterious quality that felt detached from reality.
Jiang Che stepped inside, and the stone door slammed shut behind him.
The last sliver of space vanished. He was completely enveloped in white light.
All around him was an endless expanse of white. The air was thin, and gravity heavy—the crushing force of ten times normal gravity weighed him down as the ground trembled faintly, emitting a deep rumble.
Jiang Che drew a deep breath, feeling the weight of the pressure. Every breath and heartbeat seemed magnified infinitely by the space around him.
He closed his eyes and felt every muscle in his body respond to the gravity.
He silently called out, System.
The next moment, a translucent blue panel appeared before him.
Familiar lines of text appeared on it:
[Host: Jiang Che] [Power Level: God of Super Saiyans] [Exchange Points: 0] [Purchased: Tenfold Kaioken]
He stared at the line "Exchange Points: 0" for several seconds, a faint smile appearing on his lips.
"Zero exchange points... Nice and clean." His quiet murmur echoed through the empty space.
He rolled his shoulders, and his bones cracked as if preparing for what came next.
Tenfold Kaioken—this was a deadly technique.
In the original story, even after transforming, Son Goku's body had nearly been torn apart while using Kaioken.
His heart, muscles, and blood vessels had all seemed on the verge of bursting.
But Jiang Che was fine because the version provided by the system had no side effects.
That was why he dared to push himself to the limit.
"Let's try it." He closed his eyes and regulated his breathing.
His chest rose and fell, every breath seeming to beat out the rhythm of meditation.
Power flowed slowly within him, like a giant beast awakening from slumber.
A force began to stir deep inside his body.
Red flames blazed across his skin, burning like fire.
His hair gradually stood on end, changing from black to red, and his pupils turned crimson. This was the true God of Super Saiyans.
He felt the torrent of power within him, as if he could seize the heavens in his grasp.
It was powerful, unshakable—but he didn't stop.
The power continued to build.
Tenfold Kaioken!
In an instant, the red flames surged, forming a blinding aura that swept over his whole body and bathed the white space in crimson.
His body began to tremble. His muscles tensed, and his veins bulged, as if a flood within him could burst through its dam at any moment.
Even so, he gritted his teeth and desperately forced the two powers together.
The red flames intertwined. His heart beat faster and faster, and his blood raced through his body.
His breathing grew ragged. Sweat slid down his forehead and fell to the white floor beneath his feet, vaporizing in an instant.
He opened his eyes, his irises a deep crimson, with a touch of madness in them.
Now he truly felt that unparalleled energy.
This power was more than divine—it was the fusion of a god's power and a mortal technique.
It could shatter heaven and earth and tear open the void.
Red light enveloped his body, its edges flickering with golden sparks.
The air around him warped, and cracks began to spread across the ground.
Jiang Che smiled.
"Still not enough..."
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and felt the power continue to surge recklessly through his body.
He knew very well that this was only the beginning.
One month would be enough to push this power to its limits.
