Chen Hong explored new ways to understand soul rings and Divine Marks while the Star Dou Great Forest expedition ended with Xiao Wu taken away by Er Ming. The group returned to Shrek Academy with Chen Hong promising to find a way to bring her back.

• Chen Hong persuaded the Berserk Baboon to sacrifice itself, gained a temporarily mutated Thousand-Year Soul Ring, and used its blood to awaken the Beast Blood Divine Mark and advance his Formation Master path.
• Chen Hong and Ning Quan studied the Berserk Baboon and a Peregrine Falcon before a Titan Giant Ape attacked the Shrek group, and Ning Quan helped the others escape.
• Chen Hong used a Divine Mark to calm the Titan Giant Ape, which took Xiao Wu into the forest to protect her from an approaching Titled Douluo.

After exposing Xue Luo’s crimes and helping Spirit Hall take the Xuesens into custody, Chen Hong secured temporary control of the city for the Guild and turned his attention to freeing Tis Kelly.
