When the materials piled up all over the floor, Qu Yi, who had just been beaming, was instantly stunned. The smile froze on his face, his mouth gaping wide in disbelief.
Before he could recover from his shock, Luo Mu said something astonishing, leaving Qu Yi's lips dry.
Licking his parched lips, Qu Yi looked at Luo Mu in confusion.
"Brother Luo Mu, where did you get so many crafting materials? And what did you just say? You want me to craft a high-grade magic tool for you? You're not joking, are you!" After coming back to himself, Qu Yi fired off several questions in a row.
"The materials all came through proper channels. Some private matters of mine are involved, so I'm afraid I can't tell Fellow Daoist Qu Yi. I hope Fellow Daoist won't take offense. As for why I want you to craft a high-grade magic tool, there are two reasons." Luo Mu took a sip of tea and spoke slowly.
"Oh? What reasons?" Since Luo Mu was unwilling to reveal where the materials came from, Qu Yi could not very well press him. Instead, he grew curious about the two reasons Luo Mu had mentioned.
"First, I want to see whether, by using these materials, you have any hope of breaking through your bottleneck and crafting a high-grade magic tool. If the crafting fails, these materials can be considered a gift for Fellow Daoist to practice with. But if it succeeds, the high-grade magic tool crafted must belong to me unconditionally. The second reason rests on the foundation that the crafting succeeds, because I want to see just how great the gap is between a high-grade magic tool and a mid-grade magic tool!"
