He spared none of them, arresting them all, rewarding each with a Veritaserum, and then began the interrogation.

Aside from what's described in books, he was completely clueless about the Vosges Mountains; he'd only just bought the map.

So Tom first asked a lot of basic common sense questions before he started asking about the dragon.

News of the fire dragon had spread; even these lowly wizards knew that a fire dragon had arrived in the Vosges Mountains.

However, not many people are interested in the fire dragon, firstly because this fire dragon is registered and belongs to Romanian Dragon Sanctuary.

That area is under the joint jurisdiction of the Ministry of Magic of multiple countries, and ordinary wizards dare not cause such big trouble.

Secondly, they couldn't defeat it. The fire dragon was too dangerous and could easily cause death, so even though they envied its treasure-filled body, they didn't want to lose their lives for it.

This is just the opinion of most wizards. In the past few days, groups of professional poachers have been appearing one after another. Just the information from these four people alone amounts to six or seven groups.

Tom has quite a few competitors, but the Vosges Mountains are so vast that finding a fire dragon that can fly freely across the sky is not an easy task.

Tom achieved his goal and, ignoring the four men returning to the hotel, entered the Study Space to learn strategies. With two shrewd old guys around, it would be foolish not to take advantage of them.

"School starts in about ten days, and I need to find Fire Dragon as soon as possible, otherwise I'll have to find an excuse to ask for leave."

Andros didn't care whether Tom asked for leave or not; he earnestly tried to find a solution for him.

Gellert Grindelwald frowned. "If you take leave, won't I have to wait until later to see Albus Dumbledore?"

He quickly came up with a Dark Magic that would be perfect for the current situation.

"The Blood Tracking Curse can locate the place with the strongest smell of blood. The fire dragon has a huge appetite, and its lair will definitely have a lot of food remains."

Tom blinked. "Teach me."

In one night, Tom completely mastered the spell, and his perception range was very large, about five kilometers.

With his increasingly skilled Apparition, Tom began searching for the dragon's trail, circling around the base.

Soon, another two days passed, and the bad news was that Tom had gained nothing.

Good news, no one has reported finding the fire dragon, so none of us succeeded.

The person in a real hurry right now isn't Tom, but Gellert Grindelwald; if this drags on any longer, he'll really need to take time off work.

On the third day, Tom encountered a lively scene—or rather, a group of people and a group of Veela.

More than a dozen human wizards are hunting down eight Veela, Veela are no longer the alluring creatures they once were.

Instead, it transformed into a bird-like being, with a ferocious face and crimson, upright hair.

The Veela kept throwing fireballs at the wizard, seemingly having the upper hand in the air.

But the wizards were clever; several wizards joined forces to cast the Iron Armor Charm, blocking all the fireballs.

The others, however, recklessly unleashed spells at the Veela. Some of the Veela's members were already injured and were being carried through the air by their companions, further weakening their firepower.

What caught Tom's eye was not the group of ferocious Veela, but the only beautiful silver-haired girl in their ranks.

She looked to be thirteen or fourteen years old, and already showed signs of captivating all beings. He began to guess the identity of the silver-haired girl— Half-Veela.

Tom didn't hesitate any longer. Apparition to the edge of the battlefield and roared, "Stop! Let go of these Veela, let me handle this!"

Both sides were startled by this troublemaker. One of the human wizards, with a scar on his face, said impatiently, "Get out of here if you don't want to die! This is our prey!"

"Answer one question to me first, and then I'll consider whether I want to leave," Tom said seriously.

Scarface instinctively asked, "What's the problem?"

Do you know where the fire dragon is?

Scarface laughed maniacally, as if he had heard the funniest joke in the world. "You dare to covet a fire dragon all by yourself? If I had known, I would have told you, and then watched how you died in the fire dragon's mouth."

Tom sighed. "It seems you didn't know."

He waved his wand. "Hand of Hell." Boom! Hellfire erupted.

To the horror of the wizard and Veela, a giant hand formed from silver flames emerged from the ground and clenched into a fist at the wizard standing together.

The Iron Armor Charm that had blocked countless Veela fireballs shattered instantly amidst rapid cracking sounds, and the palms closed together.

Most of the wizards did not escape; they turned to ashes amidst screams.

Scarface luckily escaped unharmed, staring at the sea of fire with bloodshot eyes.

Then, with a vicious blast, he unleashed a green beam of light at Tom. "Avada Kedavra!"

Tom swiftly dodged the spell, his wand pointing at the scarred wizard. "Reducto!"

Blood and Fiendfyre, following Tom's will, rained down like meteors, striking the surviving wizards. Ten seconds later, not a single one remained.

Tom nodded in satisfaction, pleased with his learning progress over the past few days.

The credits weren't wasted; he had fully mastered the Fiendfyre and the various derivative uses pioneered by Gellert Grindelwald.

Even if you put him in Paris back then, he could burn a lot of things.

The forest was so quiet that the only sound was the crackling of flames burning the air. The Veela dared not breathe or make a move.

Several balls of fire still floated in the sky, blocking their escape route.

Tom nodded to them. "Let's talk down? But calm down, in your current state, I'm afraid I might lose my temper and take action." He switched to French.

His pronunciation wasn't perfect, but it was enough. Sure enough, some of the Veela still looked at him with fear and terror, while two of them understood and made sharp, strange noises.

All the Veela slowly landed on the ground, but maintained a certain distance from Tom, and kept the silver-haired girl at the very back.

To show his sincerity, Tom also absorbed the Fiendfyre into his hand, which was then enveloped in golden light and vanished without a trace.

A Veela spoke in strangely accented French, "Respected human power, thank you for your help," but her appearance remained unchanged.

Tom's actions were unreasonable, much like a cat bristling. The Veela's bird-like forms were a means of self-protection, controlled by their emotions.

We're not completely out of danger yet, so it's impossible to relax.

"As you all heard, I'm here to see the fire dragon; I'm not interested in anything else."

"I did save you after all, so consider this a way of repaying your kindness. If you help me find the fire dragon's trail, then the debt will be settled."

The Veela understood French translated Tom's meaning to the other Veela, and for a moment they looked at each other, unsure how to respond.
