Professor McGonagall had been observing everything quietly.
Her eyes revealed her dissatisfaction.
When Draco Malfoy threatened a classmate once again.
She finally reached the limit of her patience.
She spoke sternly.
"Draco Malfoy! This is the second time you have lost your composure in class!"
Professor McGonagall's voice was severe and decisive.
Her gaze was as sharp as a hawk's.
She swept her eyes over Malfoy.
And said.
"Because you threatened a classmate, I am deducting another twenty points from Slytherin! Furthermore, no matter who it is, it is absolutely impossible to frame my students!"
The Slytherin students looked at one another.
They stared at Professor McGonagall in disbelief.
Today's incident had wiped out all the points Slytherin had accumulated throughout the week.
They were even in the negative!
Although the incident occurred between Devero and Malfoy.
Everyone knew who the real culprit was...
It was Malfoy!!
The dissatisfaction everyone felt toward him had reached a point where it could no longer be concealed!
They no longer cared about his father's status as a school governor.
They all glared at him with fury.
Malfoy's face turned even uglier.
He lowered his head.
Not daring to meet Professor McGonagall's gaze.
Professor McGonagall continued.
"Malfoy, come with me to my office. Potter, you come as well."
Malfoy raised his head.
He glared viciously at Devero.
Devero smiled.
And waved goodbye to him.
In the end, Malfoy reluctantly stood up.
And followed Professor McGonagall toward the door.
Harry, who had been outside the eye of the storm, only then realized he was involved too.
He followed the two of them with an uneasy expression.
Devero stepped forward and patted him on the shoulder.
Giving him an encouraging look.
Harry managed a weak smile.
The others remained where they were, waiting for Madam Hooch to return and continue the lesson.
The students remaining on the grounds erupted into a frenzy!
They began to denounce Malfoy one after another.
And so, a miraculous thing happened.
Slytherin and Gryffindor were surprisingly united in their hatred for Malfoy!
The Slytherins and Gryffindors frantically complained about how much Malfoy loved to brag.
And how he loved to show off.
The Gryffindors were even more united in their common hatred.
They recounted all of Malfoy's "glorious" deeds, such as bullying Neville and insulting classmates.
Suddenly, thanks to Malfoy's outstanding contributions.
The houses of the Lion and the Snake had reached a reconciliation of the century!
Many even began to become friends.
Lavender, Parvati, and a girl named Millicent Bagnold (who was Adrian's younger sister) were chatting happily.
Moxie chatted about Quidditch with a tall, thin boy.
Devero remembered his name was Theodore Nott.
In any case.
Everyone from both houses was in high spirits today.
Except for Malfoy.
Before long.
Madam Hooch returned.
After hearing Hermione explain how Professor McGonagall had taken Harry and Malfoy away.
She flew into a rage.
But since both instigators had already been hauled off.
She could only vent her frustration helplessly.
In the end, she had no choice but to resume the lesson.
This time, Devero received a new broom.
It was very easy to handle.
The previous one had felt like it suffered from social anxiety.
It would tremble whenever Devero spoke.
This one had a very stable temperament.
The moment Devero shouted, "Up!"
It immediately zipped into his hand.
Adrian, standing nearby, was startled.
Just a moment ago, Devero had spent ages struggling with his broom!
How could it suddenly be at his beck and call?
Could it be that Devero had suddenly become a Flying Broom Prodigy?
That was exactly it!
That was the case!
Just before Harry was taken away by Professor McGonagall, Devero had loaded his [Flying Broom Prodigy] trait.
Now, he was a flying genius in every sense of the word!
At this moment, quite a few students were still failing to get their brooms into their hands on their second attempt!
Under Madam Hooch's guidance.
Most of them finally managed to mount their brooms.
By now, Devero could barely contain himself!
He felt as though he had been born to soar through the sky!
This was a completely different feeling from half an hour ago!
At Madam Hooch's command.
Beep—
As the whistle blew.
Devero kicked off the ground.
With a crisp whistle of wind, Devero felt as if he were being pulled toward the sky by an invisible force.
Immediately after, he rose steadily into mid-air.
Up in the air, Devero's movements were nearly flawless.
Every turn was perfectly executed.
Every ascent was swift and powerful.
Every descent was smooth and fluid.
He was like a vigorous eagle.
Soaring freely through the sky.
As if he had become one with the Flying Broom.
Is this what it felt like for Harry earlier? This is amazing!
It had to be said.
Some things really did come down to talent.
Devero felt that even if Harry were to ride that first broomstick of his, he would still be able to ride it perfectly well!
Just as he was doing right now!
Watching Devero fly through the air with such ease, the students couldn't help but let out bursts of exclamation.
They chattered amongst themselves.
"I told you Devero was a flight expert; that accident he had before was purely because the broom was rubbish!"
"Yeah, yeah, look at that dive! It's even cooler than Charlie!"
"My god, he's definitely going to be our House Quidditch captain in the future!"
Above the lawn beside the Forbidden Forest.
Devero's figure carved graceful arcs through the sunlight.
He dove, climbed, and circled, every movement appearing effortless.
The wind whistled past his ears, brushing against his face and bringing with it a sense of coolness and freedom.
Devero's heart was filled with pride and joy.
In this moment, he felt as though he had truly grasped the pleasure of flight.
"Good heavens, this is just so addictive!"
Had Madam Hooch not ordered him to land at the very end, Devero likely would have kept flying for another hour or so.
Devero landed steadily on the ground.
The eyes of the surrounding students were filled with envy and admiration.
They crowded around him, asking for tips on flying.
But Devero remained very humble.
"Thanks everyone, I'm still learning myself. I don't really have any experience; it's mostly about confidence, focus, and building a rapport with your broom."
However, the enthusiasm of the students from both houses remained incredibly high.
Devero found himself feeling a bit troubled by it.
Finally, at the sound of Madam Hooch's whistle, the class came to an end.
After class, Devero checked his watch.
Hmm.
There wasn't much time left before his appointment with Professor Quirrell.
He decided to head to the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office first to discuss taking the advanced-year courses.
Just then, Hermione suddenly called out to him.
"Devero! Are you alright?"
Coming back to his senses, Devero saw Hermione looking at him with a face full of concern.
"You rushed into the Forbidden Forest all by yourself just now; did you get hurt?"
Hearing Hermione's concern, Devero smiled.
He stretched his limbs in a slightly exaggerated manner and even hopped a few times to prove that he was perfectly fine.
"Look, I'm perfectly fine. You saw the Prior Incantato yourself; I used a spell to save myself."
However, Hermione shook her head with a serious expression.
"No, no, Devero. My mother always said that many injuries are invisible to the naked eye. It's the same with teeth as it is with the body. You really should come with me to the School Infirmary for a check-up."
Devero felt a slight urge to laugh.
He was just about to open his mouth to refuse.
But suddenly, his eyes darted.
As if he had remembered something.
He immediately nodded at Hermione.
"Fine, let's go then. We can check on Neville while we're at it."
Seeing Devero agree, a smile instantly bloomed on Hermione's face.
Her eyes curved into crescent moons.
The corners of her mouth lifted gently.
She seemed very happy that Devero had listened to her advice.
She turned and stepped forward.
Her gait was light and cheerful.
Devero gave a faint smile as well.
Then, he turned to pick up Eld and placed him on his shoulder.
Together with Hermione, he headed toward the School Infirmary.
